Allen Butler Edwards

After 4 wonderful years at GHS, I attended Millsaps College and then graduated from Ole Miss. Lynda Nelken, my college roommate, and I moved to New Orleans to began our adult lives. I was introduced to "real life" by working at the welfare department. I married Steve Edwards, who graduated from St. Joseph. Our son Kenneth was born in New Orleans. After Steve graduated form Tulane Law School we moved to Atlanta, where Robert was born.
In 1983 we moved to Ft. Myers Beach, FL. We raced our sailboat "Bo' Weevil" in local races. I was an adoption councelor placing children for adoption with wonderful families. In 1993, we moved to beautiful Sarasota where Steve and I retired in 1997. I still love boating, reading, travel and playing bridge. Steve and I play trivia with people from all over the world and I'm proud to say we have a reputation of being sooo smart since we win so often, all thanks to the wonderful education we received in Greenville!
Both of our sons live nearby and we enjoy their visits.
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion. I miss Mississippi and living in the Deep South.
