Lynn..I think it was Coach Paul that was the love of my life:)

BASS ABOUT MY FRACTURED BACK.BUT THEY DID NOTHING. HE TAUGHT ME NOTHING I WAS TAUGHT BY MR RENNICK AND MR PATTERSON,AND MYSELF.I HOPE I DID NOT MAKE ANYONE MAD AT ME ABOUT THIS BUT IT IS TRUE IT HAPPENED AND I AM SORRY KENNY

Hey Rooster! Man, you are going way back to Wanda Drive. That was my brother's horse. Traded it for a Moped, then a car. By the time I came along I only got the car but that was good enough. Looking forward to seeing you.

BC/Rooster...A lot of us had Mrs. Blaylock for Geometry our senior year. One day I was visiting my dad's sister in Prattville, Alabama and she was talking about her next door neighbor being so sweet etc. Turns out it was Mrs. Blaylock. Small world. I'll never forget Gator, Bubba and I were in the lunch room and she came in and said, "Scooter, you passed. Barely, but you passed. See you on the football field at graduation." I could have kissed the lady right then and there.

Speaking of Gator. Where is he. He was one of the Forum Five and now he is history. Probably out fishing or on some island or maybe collecting taxes. Gaaaaatttooooorrr!

Where are most people staying. I booked out at the casino but I don't want to be way off if most are at the place next to the country club. Or if it's nicer.

I spoke with Mr Montesi today he is planning on attending if his wifes father who is in bad health does not prevent he and his wife from doing so. Marvin Lott is there in cleveland as well had told him about the reunion. He also stated he was looking so forward to coming and is a sharp as ever.

I don't won't to jump on the hate Mckay band wagon but I went to try out for band in the 7th grade he was not a favorite memory. He also without reason in the 11 grade blocked Donald Holt from the band his first chair french horn. Later Bailey Lee got the same treatment his first chair sax. To this day neither know why. Quite an ego tripper was my humble opinion of him. Oh his problem with me too poor to purchase an instrument he had for sale. Quote "if you can't afford this instrument you probably don't need to try out for my band"
Don't mean to sound rude but Kenny he had his favorites and I am sure they feel good about him. He was so good at doing this stuff where the band members never found out. I often wondered how they would feel if they knew
Kenny they were from E E Bass too.

JDW and Kenny..Sorry I brought it up if you have painful memories..Maybe the girls had better experiences.

Diane..I was in Coach Paul's geometry class too. I remember I sure didn't want him thinking I was stupid. Funny little things you remember.

Randy,
I think all the 'Sherman clan' is staying at the Hampton (correct George/Jenny?) because we would have to drive in for the Friday night thing from the other hotel. My understanding is that there will be tranportation from the other hotel but only for Sat. The Hampton is new and right next to the club.
Ken or Johnny Pete..Jump in if that isn't right.

MPAS-The Hampton is new and right next to the Country Club. Harlow's is out close to the bridge. Don't know how many people are staying there.

Out of towners staying in hotels....

I also would like to know where people are staying. We booked at the hotel downtown, by the levee. Stayed there once and liked their really big rooms. However don't want to be down there all by ourselves if everyone is staying at Hampton!!! Harlowe is too far.

Think it is called Greenville Inn and Suites. It was nice 2 years ago. Has that changed? The rate is $70 per night. I never checked the Hampton. Guess it has opened since we were there last..

Waiting to hear!!!

Lynn-Greenville Inns and Suites is still nice. Don't know if anyone is staying down there or not. The Hampton is new by GGCC. Harlow's Casino is new as well. By the bridge. They are having pick up and drop off on Saturday. I think several people are staying there. There is a block of rooms reserved for the Class of 69.

05/07/09 06:22 PM #1142

Mary Pryor Anthony (Sherman)

Sally..did y'all say there was a special rate at the Hampton. When we reserved, they didn't have one. If there is one, we need to call them back.MPA
P.S. When we booked , the rooms were about $110ish?

Yes, that name does sound familiar. I can picture him. Not sure if it is the same one MPAS is talking about having the crush on, but I think the Study Hall Coach that I remember was Childs...Good memory

Bettye,
The coach was a math teacher that I was asking Lynn about..I thought he taught geometry.. thinking Coach Paul..He was cute and personable. Was Coach Child's that way or just a 'snoozer'?:) MPAS

Coaches were Coach (Mike?)Childs, Albert Paul (math), John Sapen (passed away very young), William Earl Morgan (Vicksburg), Gary Dempsey (Leland, MS now??), and of course, any players remember Goerge Arendale (deceased) (tuff ole bird, yet a dear friend AFTER we graduated). WAYNE......he made men out of most of us! Coach Paul is in Collinsville, MS retired and makes custom turkey and duck calls "Paul's Calls". albert@paulscalls.com

Ladies: I do not remember any of them being nice looking but they could yell alot. Just shows the difference in the perspective of the ladies and the guys they yelled at.

Hotels:
Harlow's: Last time Ken spoke with Harlow's they had
some 10 reservations and Ken may know who. They
were holding 20 rooms until May 25th for Class
ReUnion.

Hampton: No Rooms blocked. Normal rate is $129, but
last week called back and reduced to $119 for
GHS. Best they would do but less than year old
and nice. They have since told me they have
several reservations but would not say who.

Holiday Inn XPress: on 82 East; Three years old and
pretty nice. Don't know rate. ($89 ??)
