Mary Pryor and Joe,
I wish I were with you at the beach. Sorry I didn't call. I forgot what I was going to call about.I just drove back in from Oxford at 9:30. We gave
my niece Shelby a graduation party. We had a wedding to attend this week-end and a brunch this morning so I am pretty tired. Can't wait to see you.

Lynn and Tommy,
Will be thinking of you tommorrow. I know being grandparents must be wonderful.

Nancy,

I love the pictures. Priceless!!

Good Night

Mike - we shut down on Flea Market Day. Can't get to work because of the fleas. I'm here, physically, this week so please stop by!
We aren't really hip on movie making people either. They tend to "take over" Canton!
Though I did get to meet George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, Matthew McConaughy, Joel Shumacher and some more "STARS," the majority of us working people were glad to see them go back to Hollywood! "A Time to Kill," "My Dog Skip," "O, Brother Where Aren't Thou?" and some more films were done in and around Canton. Fleas and Movie Stars - I can surely do without them!

Chad had his first taste of the Canton Flea Market, and I can't believe he is on top of a house today putting on a new roof. He must have the energy of 10 two year olds!

Hey Mike, Susan, Marilyn: I'm at my honey's again hot & heavy. But I'm not on top of my roof, are you crazy, I'd roll off it like a beach ball. LOL. Got some roofers re-seal my sun(game) room roof. Don't want my pool table to get wet. Hope to see ya'll real soon. Ann will be coming with us. She said she would come IF she got to ride in my truck LOL.

Marilyn,

I do still have my crown and my little trophy, too. I usually wear the crown on the weekends while cleaning house, and cutting the yard! Probably going to wear it to the Reunion, too! (oh, I can already hear the private posts on this one!)

Hello: You all have been busy!! Sorry I have been slow joining in the conversation, never been able to live up to my name. Like Randy B. said don't you all know it has been turkey season? I have read the GHS Short Story 61 pages and have a few comments. I will try to space them out and not bore you all at once. Susan Hughes is still one funny lady. We both live in the poorest district of Madison Co.(cheap car tags) I live in suburb of Sharon, MS. Susan's bit on counting fingers, toes and necks should be on comedy central. Also no one picked up on it but I have never seen a man (Jim) knock a horse off of its feet except in Blazing Saddles, and his name was Mongo.
I try not to see Susan during her office hours, if you do it usually will cost you money or jail time. However it is my lucky day when we cross paths at the local Piggley Wiggley. Susan thanks for calling me.

Mike Q., you could not have written it better about Susan Hughes. My life has been so much brighter now that Susan is back in it. We talk for hours and I laugh so hard I lose my breath. Susan and Jim complete each other. He is so layed back and she is so full of herself. I am looking forward to this reunion so much but more than that, I am so thankful for the wonderful friends that are back in my life!

JESSICA KAY FRANKLIN PRATHER,

Honestly, I don't even remember the young man!! Who was he? Please don't hate me because I'm beautiful---ha ha ha! Just kidding, girl. I thought YOU were drop dead gorgeous!! How have you been? Yes, reading this forum has been an experience---filled with pleasant surprises and with some leopards wearing the same old spots.

I would love to see you. Been talking with Diane Brent and still hoping to get her to fly down!! Everyone, I need some help in "encouraging" Diane to come.

Recieved a call from Brenda Brown this afternoon. Jerry was taken to the emergency room with chest pains. He was having a heart attack, they got it undercontrol before any damage was done to his heart. He had three blockages that were treated with stints and is in icu. He should be moved to a room tommorrow. The hospital that Jerry is in is Glennwood in West Monroe, LA.

I told Brenda that this can't happen to Jerry because I always thought that he was indestructable. She said she would tell him what I said. Thank God he was at home when it happened. He had been in Tennessee turkey hunting this past week and had just got home.

McRight: OK I am also impressed about website. You all have done great job. One of my McRight stories is when we were freshman at Ole Miss, we were roommates in the brand new Twin Towers.(don't kow how that happened!) Johnnie and Renee were trying to continue their long distance romance so Johnnie tied up the phone every night. Would hate to have been Daddy McRight and paying his phone bill. Conversations grew long and pretty "ooshe-gooshe" can't spell it but you get the picture. I would leave and go down to Johnnie Neyman's and Bill Williams room and hang. The phone is on my side of room at my desk so McRight sits there and I guess got nervous and takes razor blade and cuts about half of my brissels from my only hair brush which I had since 7th grade, the ole B'Cream days. It was now a great brush if you had mo-hawk. He said he was sorry.

Also remember slug-fest he and Pat Williams had in GHS Gym during lunch at high noon. Funny don't remember who won. Johnnie you know I am kidding, you took care of me on several occasions that year.

Mike, you were the only guy at Solomon who had a pair of socks to match the exact color of his shirt, every time. Must have been shopping at the Stag Shop.Did they come as a set? Just kidding. Looking forward to seeing you.

Susan Hughes: I forgot something. Way back in the short story you inquired about a Friday afteroon incident in Mrs. Stevens class at Soloman. She was the math teacher with the big eyes wasn't she. I will confess or tattle-tail. Ricky Mosow, Mike "Bone Hamilton and CMQ got a little crazy. Thought it was pretty funny until Monday morning when Dunaway began calling in each member of that math class over the monitor. He had called everyone in and just before noon the loudspeaker announced would Ricky, Mike and Mike please come to the office. The jig was up. Ricky and Bone got licks from Dunaway. When it was my turn Dunaway's wrist must have been sore so he called in Sparky Morgan who was fresh to
administer justice. Mrs Stevens was a very unusal math teacher

Anyone know where Mike Bone Hamilton might be? He was pretty funny too.

Charles Michael Quick

Thanks Randy I never thought anyone ever noticed!! I tried to get matching belts also but that would be a little to much. I do remember when Jimmy Phillips wore the first pair of black and white saddle-oxfords. I thought he was going to need therapy. It did take the heat off of my socks.

That's what is so funny about this reunion. We have not seen classmates for 40 years and some you have not even thought about but when you do you can usually come up with something about each one. Interesting though.
Enjoyed you pics down in Mobile AL

William Charles Spears

Hey to all...Billy Simpson just called to say that his mother passed away an hour or so ago in Monticello, MS. She had been living in a convalescent home there. Billy and Malissa live very close by so they checked on her almost daily. You all know that she was the essential nurse of all time at Kings Daughters in Greenville. Billy's daddy passed away some years ago. The funeral will be in Greenville on Thursday unless something changes. Billy's cell number is 601-757-9139 if you wish to call him.

Daniel Lee Hall

All Ya'll,

I just talked to Billy. He seems to be taking it as well as could be expected. I am hoping to be in Greenville to give him support later this week. If you were close to Billy you should give him a call. He needs friends support. We all knew Mrs. Simpson, she was having a tough time and as Billy says, she is in a better place. I believe she was 91! Scooter I know will be right by Billy's side!

Thank You So Much Scooter........ Danny

I know, Marilyn - that is exactly the reason I did the double-dog dare. It is amazing the ditties that we knew as kids we did not teach our children but our grands think they are great.
