Thanks for the sweet words, and right back at ya!

Had a good time in Cleveland this weekend. Went to pig pickin, and then watched Delta State blow Harding off the field. Heard a great sermon at the Presbyterian Church, ate lunch with Sulee's in-laws, drove home, and went to bed! I just can't hang with those youngun's anymore!
It was muggy hot in the Delta, and I was glad to get home to our little hill!

OK Lynn and Susan. Ya'll have brought me back out of my shell. I took tap dancing with Miss Griffin, but I rebelled when it came to ballet. My momma wanted me to continue but my Dad said he would buy me a toy dumptruck if I quit. So I quit and started playing in the dirtpile in our backyard that he would have delivered every summer. I still have my white satin pants, red and white candy stripe satin jacket, and matching top hat. My black and purple satin pirates outfit is missing though. I've been extremely busy but have had time to catch up today. It's good to see the forum still going.

At church yesterday I finally had a chance to tell Linda Dickerson "Hello from Mike Freund". She grinned from ear to ear! After telling me how much this brought back childhood memories, she told me to tell you "Hi, and she wishes she could see you again"...Come to FUMC most any Sunday, and she will be there...Look to the left side for the Lady wearing a hat. Coach is next to her.

To all reunion attendees...Wasn't it great to see Mr. Montesi again?

Mr. Montesi was SO glad to hear that I had not persued Commercial Fishing as my career. When he counseled me that is what I told him I wanted to be...Randy, you could have traveled the River with me, and run the trot lines!

I am glad to see everyone getting back on again also. We really do need to stay in touch. We will need all the moral support we can get as we get older...LOL

I talked to Peggy Tabb Saturday night and she is doing
great. She is in KDH in Greenville but suppose to get out tomorrow. She said to tell everyone hello and thanks for your prayers.

I also talked to Libby Childs Woods. It just so happen she and Wayne were in Starkville visiting one of their children and their family. Wayne is in a wheelchair and is doing as well as can be expected. He has a few more weeks of chemo then will be off for a while. Libby and Wayne now live in Madison. Susan, I need to send you her phone #. She thought you lived in that area also. I told her I knew you would want to talk with her.

I too thought Mr. Montesi looked great. He was so nice when we were in school and obviously still is. He seemed
so happy to see all of us.

I have enjoyed talking to Betty Burke and catching up on the last 40 years. We still have the same sense of humor -not sure if that's good! Talk for hours on the phone.

Debbie B. - where are you??? Chad, when does the fishing start???

I sho miss running that river,Clainy. You know I tried to move back in 1986, to Natchez, didn't work out and moved back to Mobile. There's nothing like being on that river in a 14' aluminum boat with a 9.8 Merc and pulling in those flatheads on a trotline. But the river's not going anywhere and it's never too late. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones, are ill, or are having troubled times.

Hey JRBentree.....

Check out Ebay under motorhomes for sale, Look up Classic Airstream 350 LE. Maybe you'll need that for Deer Camp. I have 2 days left and have not had my reserve met!

Take a look "Lots Of Nice Photos". This one has got to go. It is classic like the 1963 corvette or T-Bird. Still runs great.

Not Enough!

Got the boat out of service and your marina has filled up. Those a..holes kept the boat for 3 months and charged me a fortune. Now I am boating in the middle of my cow pasture!!!

Everyone,

Thanks all for B'Day Wishes! Scooter guessed 58 he is so nice. Ms Spears 2nd grade Em Boyd had a crush on me and decided I should stay another year in the 2nd grade. I never knew what child abuse was back then. I thought it was special to get to stand in the corner. Anyway I am 59 and feel every bit of it by midnight, then 39 again in the morning, what a life!

Lynn, How's Phoenix? We are going to Scottsdale for Thanksgiving. (75 days 50 nights) I am looking forward to getting out there. I own a place 60 miles west of Phoenix but we are staying a bit east of Phoenix!

Clainey......Lets go out on the river sometimes. We can have the Doc bait and clean!

Danny Hall, I know what you are talking about even though I've always been more of a morning person which my horses definitely appreciate! Went for a checkup yesterday and complained about my right knee which has hurt for a month. Thought I injured it riding my horse but as it turns out, it is just age related! What? I thought the doc was kidding me but he was not. Ha. Now I know why my aunt Sue who is 16 years my senior tells me that every day brings a new surprise...a new pain somewhere. Now THAT'S something to look forward to. :)

Seems like I am always posting about the weather. Rain, rain, go away. My guys have not cut rice or beans in what seems to be forever. We are however not flooded like some other parts of the country.
Good to read the many posts lately. I really like this site because it is somewhat semi-private and not out there for the whole world to read.
Everyone take care. Love to you all.

Danny,
I love Phoenix. It is still warm, but nothing like Tampa. It was actually 96 today and very pleasant. We are also coming out here for Thanksgiving. Plan to stay for about 2 weeks. Can't wait. The weather will be great then... We make take a short trip up to Flagstaff and let the baby see some snow and then spend the night in Sedona. Hope all is well with you and that you enjoyed your B'day!!!

Lynn,

We are actually going to have Thanksgiving dinner in Sedona, I love it there. It will be about 46 degrees for the high below freezing at night. Moose everywhere or is that mice with an O ? I also love Payson. The following day we will be heading to a couple of Ghost Towns I love and on to Wickenburg,sp.... Take your jacket Thanksgiving and go up to the Snow Bowl in Flagstaff. It's real nice especially if they get an early snow.

Kenny..... I have already been there and done that with the Bikes. Don't you remember "Easy Rider and the Pusher Man and that Bogart deal. I am very blessed to have made it through those years and turned out half___ alright. Ok, maybe a little brain damage but in this day and age who can tell:):):):):)DUH !!

Kenny,

It is a hard decision to make. I was at my wit's end with Mother, but knew in my heart, for her safety, I had to put her into the nursing home. I did lots of praying, and God held my hand the entire way.

There are days when I visit her that I leave really, really sad, but then God taps me on my shoulder and I realize she is where she should be. She has 24 hour care, good meals, activities and is SAFE!

I will certainly be praying for you, and you pray for God's guidance, because I assure he, HE will help you get through this.

Kenny, my sister, Luree Taylor, is director of nursing at the nursing home on South Colorado (can't think of the name). Call her and she will be a big help. She helped Ricky Campbell get his mother in her nursing home. Kay Franklin's mother is in that nursing home too.
I will get the info you need and send it to you. mkc
