He was a fellow Vet and Member of the 231st Army and was called up for Vietnam in 1968. Dan contributed to many a war story and we tipped many a brew while in country. After all we were the orginal beer men of the Delta. Great guy and sorry to hear of his passing.
Dan, you were a great friend for many years, leaving me with great memories from our youth. You introduced me to Labrador retrievers, Porsche automobiles, and pulled my irons out of the fire on a number of occasions. Too bad we lived a continent apart and did not keep in closer touch these later years. Rest well, my friend.
Danny--you are truly missed. I remember in high school you invited me to go see a BIG production movie hit of the time at the Tampa Theatre. I Don't remember the movie as much as the fun time I had with you. So sorry we are all not able to see you, chat with you, one more time. Susie
Sorry to hear about Danny Fancher passing away. Like John Kruck said Dan introduced us to the Porshe. His mother purchased a new Porshe in early 60s and every now and then when mom was not around we would go out and take a spin doing 4 wheel drfits around those curcular brick roads out by his house. That lead John Kruck and I to follow international road racing specifically the 12 Hours of Sepring Endurance Race.. Those were the days, hot cars, sports cars and muscle cars, Cobras, Ford GT40s, drag racng with Don Garlits- we lived in a golden age of autos and racing. Hope to see you Danny in the second coming!
