Again, just letting everyone know that I am still kicking.
While I have spent some time here, like always I take a trip down memory lane with our classmates who are not with us anymore. One thing does seem to hold true, those of us who have made is past 75 are in rare company. There just are not many names in 2022 and 2023, and none (knock wood) in 2024 yet. My aches and pains make themselves known, but nothing that slows me down. Of course that is total hogwash, but I seem to go at the speed I want these days and, for me, is plenty fast enough. As always, I hope that everyone has had as great a life as me.
number 78, who knew. Happy Birthday.
So here we are, all still enjoying (hopefully) a journey begun almost 80 years ago. I like spending some time here as it brings back pleasant memories of our time in high school. The unique journey that we all had. From starting what would become Kecoughtan traditions to dealing with national tragedy, and let us not forget that first year having the Francis Asbury kids in our halls, it was an interesting time. May we all continue to be amazed during the rest of our journey through life.
Richard and I spent a lot of time together. I learned much about horses from him and his family. I am also surprised no mention of his game winning field goal in the Warriors first football victory against the Crabbers. My mon sent me the article from the Daily Press as I was in Blacksburg and missed the game. When Richard was not working at the family stable or earning extra money doing blacksmith functions on horses around Hampton, he was praticing kicking. So I got to be responsible to shag the kicks and allow Richard to get in 2-3 times as many reps kicking. Peace, Richard, I shall always remember with fondness those times together.

Automated message suggested I update my profile. But I am stuck in a rut enjoying the great weather down here in the Tampa Bay area. Dunedin is a town that makes many top lists of places to live out your retirement. So that is what we are doing. Not much traveling anymore, NOLA or Atlanta is about as far afield that we go. We live the same basic life of leisure that our classes had during the summers hanging out at Buckroe Beach, Foxhill/Grandview area, the military bases, Gosnold's Hope park, etc. Life has been very good to Julie and I and we are still having a blast.
Cool beard. I can't grow one. Glad to read what you have been doing all these years. Enjoy your retirement.
