Married Henry L Livas, Jr, had children, then worked for WTAR-Radio and TV as first African American news reporter in Hampton Roads; produced my own shows ... PEOPLE, PLACES, & THINGS, 1975-78 and 3 IN THE MORNING (Channerl 3 at 10AM) from 1978-80.

Married Portsmouth native bassist Bart Broadnax, lived in Las Vegas as a band wife, early 1980s.

Returned to Virginia Beach, worked at WHRO Radio (before split into WHRO and WHRV), produced and hosted Jazz Excursions (overnight shift), classical music and Morning Edition, 1987 to 1992.

Fortunate to visit Europe several times. Favorite place is Bitburg, Germany where my son was stationed in the USAF.

My favorite time of day was breakfast (still is). I loved eggs and the wonderful ladies in the dining hall would see me coming and serve up a good helping of eggs.
The other Becky (Cooper)... and I were the only folk who rode our bikes around campus.
I took a 45-minute nap everyday before dinner then I ate dinner nearly every evening with Colson and Velda Turner and Ronald Griffin. Good discussions. Watched sunsets with Ronald.
The day that President Kennedy was assassinated, I was in Dr. Young's history class. He was my favorite professor, so I'd never doze in his class and I sat right up front. But for some reason I dozed that day and just as he called my name, "Miss Perry", Virginius Thornton walked into the room and told Dr.Young that the President had been shot and probably dead.
