I will be attending Lake High Veteran Day Assembly, Monday Nov.11,2019, at which time I will presented a Lake High School Diploma and I hope maybe the class of 69 can set together and give a class of 69 Hoo raw after I am presented the High School Diploma.

Dear Friends
If any one reads this I well be surprised, But You are in for a journey.I spent 20 years in the army,saw a little bit of the world.Basic at FT CAMPBELL Kentucky the last day there with my family and my girlfriend at the time they came down for my graduation from basic.At the Cafatera we ran in to Don Hobdin. Then off to Ft Lee Virginia a place I would come back to several times after finishing cook school .A little time at home I spent a couple days In San Francisco the sights that I saw there China Town,Fisherman Warf,The Golden Gate Bridge.Was just the beginning of what this young man from small town Hartville would see and experience.
I reported to Oakland Army Base for deployment to Korea, but to my surprise .My orders were changed to some unknown place to me called Okinawa,No google search,no cil phone,we stopped in Hawaii for refueling.than on to Katina Air base,Okinawa.I would spend next fifteen month at Haha Wheel ,Okinawa ,After being there a while Mom wrote that Police were looking for me.I was getting paid, but the saving Bonds, I was having sent home,was not going there..I would make Naha USO my second home.For some stupid reason I volunteered for Vietnam. Six month later the orders would come, But a month or so I would be enjoying my time there.Going on many tours with the USO, horse back riding on Okinawa was an experience. I wish I could describe the beauty of in all. I was stationed at Naha Wheel which over looked Naha Harbor. 412 Trans Co.Unloaded and loaded The big ships. They had three shifts of stevedores and so we had to serve night chow.The last mess sergeant we had there Petro J Rosa.He decorated cake for special occasion .That is were I started baking. Naha Wheel is not there any more a large hotel is there Now.It is amazing What you can find on Google search .

Sandy how is your mother doing,last time I saw her was 06 at my father's Funeral, she was serving lunch at East Nim.
