Comments:

After high school I attended University of California Santa Barbara and Cal State San Marcos. I wound up in the valley and was just about ready to move back to Santa Barbara when Brad Chell left a message on my answering machine. In two weeks we were engaged. The rest is history! We have been happily married for over 5 years now. I am on my fifth year of being a third grade teacher and I absolutely love it. In the past two years I began to write and illustrate children's fiction books, that has been a lot of fun. Last year I also helped my students to publish their own stories and helped them have their own book signing. I like to encourage young minds to believe in their creativity. I don't keep in contact with as many people from high school as I would like to, and I am thankful that this reunion will get many of us back in touch.

School Story:

Most embarrassing moment: Okay so like I think the first week or so of being a freshman some girls and I got locked in the gym after PE. We were fixing our hair and everyone went to lunch! Well, we had to yell at a bunch of Senior football players through the chain locked doors to get us out. All year they asked, "Hey was that you...." I just gave them a funny look like I didn't know what they were talking about. Ha!
Best Memories: Spending time with my friends at Andria's house. There was always a lot of laughter. Being prom queen and homecoming princess, all my years in FFA (thanks Dad for living your dream of showing pigs through me), being FFA secretary, ASB president, FCA president, and just getting involved with things at our school (Brad you are right I am nerdy).
Regrets: Having a boyfriend my Junior and Senior year. Playing sports because I just did it to make my parents happy. I should have snuck out of my window a little more or something!
Favorite Teacher: Mr. Burfield. I find myself repeating things he taught me to my own students. That is pretty cool.
What I Like the Best About HHS: I feel that we were different in our own ways...yet somehow we were like a family. Guess that's the way it is in a small town. I cherished sitting next to you all as some of you threw spit wads, passed me notes, and made me laugh. Everyone is special to me in your own way. I feel blessed to have shared my life and childhood with you. Can't wait to see you!
