November 9, 1948 – August 3, 2009
Linda got her pass to Heaven after a gallant battle with cancer for 14 months.
She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1967. She was blessed with pipes of a songbird, so singing was one of her joys. The other was yelling as loud as she could,so she was a perfect fit for the cheerleader role that she enjoyed so much. A little tiny thing, she never got past 4 foot 11 inches, but what a bundle of energy. She also loved to dance ( Teen Hall, Garner State Park , etc). Linda enjoyed living.
Early years included a singing career with a group called Merlin and a job as a booking agent. Years later she would settle in Florida where she married and became a mom. Tyle Jacqueline was her joy, her inspiration. When she returned to Houston , she joined Dr. DeMartini Seminars where she remained until her illness demanded that she rest. Linda was director of the group. Dr. DeMartini is a human behavior specialist, educator, and author and it was Linda, with the help of her staff, who helped make him an international name. Linda was devoted to sharing his principles.
Linda was unique. She lit up the room with her presence. Her friends and family go way beyond the borders of Texas . She developed loving friendships and admirers throughout the country. She was a lover of life and a lover of people. You could always count on her for her brutal honesty. A beautiful soul she was and her strength was incredible.
Heaven will be a much more fun place with Linda in it.
A memorial service is scheduled for later in the year (early December)
so that her international friends may join us to celebrate her life.
Condolences may be sent to Linda's daughter...
