Caren, thanks for your added information and the great reminder about the Mother and Daughter Banquet.

Also, to Mike Grayson sister, I remember Mike as a very nice young man. I was sorry to hear of his passing.

I remember all the excitement the day LBJ came. I went to hear him that evening. I remember thinking how cool it was for the President of the United States to speak on our school grounds. Don, I forgot that you were in the band. That must have been a thrill for you.

Off the subject but -  I have a Book of Memories, Class of 1965, Sam Houston High School, 50 Year Reunion. Oct. 3, 2015 that I will mail to the first person who sends me their name and address.  This was in my sister's things and I didn't know any of the people.  Maybe someone else will enjoy reading through it.

Hi Everyone,

Sure was nice this morning here in my neck of the woods. 56 when I left for work.

Glad to hear Terry Bice and Criag Landrum will be at the Picnic on the 26th....

I have had several calls ~ text and messages sent to me that they plan to be there, sounds like it will be a good turn out.

I had heard that the park had some tree damage due to the storms that have blown through but I talked to them today and all has been cleaned up and the park is OPEN!!

GLoria #5290 ~ If no one has asked for the book of Memories I will take it. My brother was a 65 grad. I can take it to the picnic on the 26th if I get it in time. Someone may like to look at it. Address is PO BOX 1123 Centerville TX 75833

Thanks GLoria ~

There will be a special group there from Pinewood Village. Hope you stop by our table and say Hello to all of us.

What a great time we had at the Multi year reunion ~ It was great seeing everyone that was there. Catching up with those freinds we have not seen in a while  ~ and meeting new friends! There was a lot of good food and door prizes! I was Lucky enough to have my number called to win one. Lot of thanks to those that got this together and invited us out. If you didn't make it out you should try to when we have the next one. We had a section for Pinewood Village Kids. That's the neighborhood a lot of us grew up in and some of us have known each other since Kindergarden ~ Here's a couple of picture ~ sadly my camera was one of the things that didn't make it into the truck before I headed South. There are some pictures on Facebook some are posting. I will copy some and post on here.
