I play tennis and socialize with Wanda Rowe (Beckner). I occasionally see Mike Stavinoha, usually in passing only, as the three of us are members of the Houston Racquet Club. I didn't know Mike in school, but a few years back he overheard a conversation about Sam Houston that I was having with Wanda. We were at a tennis match at Westside Tennis Center (watching Andre Agassi - my favorite) and he politely asked if we went to Sam Houston. He promptly said that he was also a northsider and graduated from Sam Houston in 1971.

I communicate occasionally with Cindy Cuthbertson, one of my best friends growing up as we lived a few streets over from one another.

I was extremely shy in school.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt and Mike Gallagher, conservative radio talk show hosts.

I met B. J. Thomas and Kenny Rogers in Las Vegas when I lived there in 1977. They were performing at the Golden Nugget.

I attended a party in downtown Houston in the early 70's and met "Racehorse Haines". I watched him fall down the stairs from drinking a little too much.

Years ago, I sat across from Bob McNair at a "Houston Young Presidents' Club" dinner. He was trying to carry on a conversation with me, but a large flower arrangement was in our way. Trying to be polite and act interested in what he was saying, I slowly turned the arrangement to move it out of the way, when one of the flower stems knocked over his wine which immediately fell into his soup. He never flinched, just picked up his then empty wine glass and continued eating his wine-filled soup. Fortunately, it was his wine and not mine, and he ate all of the soup!

I went to a fundraiser for Bill Clinton (not my decision to go) at Tilman Fertita's home. Not only did I have to sit through an entire evening listening to someone with different views than me, everyone at the dinner had a photo taken with him. Arriving home that night, I immediately placed that photo in a box marked "basura". Such a corrupt family!

I accepted an offer to dance with a friend on T.V. years back, but can't remember when. It was somehow affiliated with the old Larry Kane show.

I attend a bible study class on Wednesdays with my sister, Luana Wieder, in The Woodlands since it is halfway from my home in the Memorial area and hers in Huntsville. Tuesdays I play league tennis. I work out every week at the club I belong to so that I can offset my sweet tooth. I love hanging out with my family since I now have seven precious grandkids. The only television I watch is Fox-related to keep my fear about what is happening to our country to a minimum, because I know they "have our backs". My prayer is that Trump gets reelected, and he gets rid of all of the deep state who all think they are above the law. I believe God placed him in office "for such a time as this".

Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, the Squad, among others -- "Keep America Great in 2020!!!!!!) Guess we lost that one, but here's hope for 2022 and the takeover of Congress. Trump back in 2024 or De Santis!

Northsider....to legal secretary and avid softball player (used to play with and against Darlene Lucas)....to "21 dealer" in Vegas....to legal secretary again....to corporate administrative assistant ("HBIC" - head "B" in charge lol).... to mom....to retirement and avid tennis player....to still MOM and DIDI (name my grandkids call me) and mother-in-law to a son-in-law and daughter-in-law that I love as if they were my own!

Stay in God's word and live for Christ! Christ is our only salvation!
