I went to work right out of high school, married the former Becky Harris. Divorced in 1968. Married the former Sandra Starr. Divorced in 1989. They were both Sam Houston graduates. Then married my present wife, Martha in 1991. I have travelled extensively in my work and lived for a short time in many places---but I always came back. Houston is home.

Any words of wisdom?

Never, never ever give up.

Is there a moment in your life that stands out? A moment that defines who you are? Other than kids being born or your wedding day.

To many to list just one.

Mike, we’re you in the band at Sam Houston? I remember my sister, Judy Downey having a practice at our house for the Solo and Ensemble Contest one time. One of the members was a boy with last name Tilotta. They nicknamed him Tacho. Was that you? She graduated in 1961.
