Hey I think my middle name was beer during high school. Remember when we thought our parents didn't know anything. And we could get by with anything. Boy did I fiind out diffrent.

Rhonda you would think that the kids I seal with would figure it out, some do and some don't. Some think that since they are in college they are smarter than us damn cops. They find out diffrent when they hear the clicking of the cuffs.

I think we all will have a hell of a good time this year at the reunion.

Hey, just wondering who on the class list has not been contacted yet? I know that many haven't signed up for the website, but who do we NOT have emails, phone numbers, or family members that we've contacted?

Just want to know, so that make sure to cover all the bases.

Also, we need to come up with some games/mixers for the party. That will ensure the drink mixers are used to their fullest effect!!!! For example, "Pin the Dissecting Probe on Schmaltz's Keister" or other favorites.

Okay, update, update!!

I just talked to Bruce Ubben via phone and am sending him the link to the website. He is going to forward it on to others on his list. Ah, the power of the Internet!

I'm trying to reach Todd A. thru his sister, I've sent the link to Dana & JoLee. Stephanie is kind of a mystery...I'm trying to reach Linda D. thru her sister, but not much luck. I hope people are passing it on to others in their list. I wish more people would jump on the forum! The memories are great...the probe incident is classic.

I finally posted some pics of the family...Isn't is amazing how none of us has changed since high school ?! LOL - (this is where you guys agree with me)

I've got some ideas for a mixer... I'll see what I can put together...

Jon - I talked to Danny Witt and sent him an email and the link to the site. Danny said that he on't make it because his kids arer showing cattle at a fair that weekend. I'll keep on him and calling him names to try to tget him to bring his ass to the reunion.I also have called Hesse, he hasn't called back. I talked to Scott Greens dad and told him about it and he said thatScott really wasn't into reunions and that kind of thing. I'll try to find a number to call him. Or ask his dad when I see him again.

I thought of a game to play. Does anyone besides Rod and I remember when I tossed a chair at Mr. Haack our senior year. Maybe we could play that? I'm still mad that I missed him by only about three or four inches.

Rhonda,

Linda D. is already registered for this site. I received an e-mail from her. As a couple of you know, I just set up a facebook account. If anybody else is on facebook, please add me as a friend (if you still consider me one :)) Unfortunately I will be unable to attend the reunion this year. As much as i would like to, we have about 6 other things going on that weekend, including my wife's reunion. Since we haven't been to any of her reunions, we are leaning that direction. I will try and get some pictures posted soon.

Jon, where'd your hair go?

Jim

Jonathan Cragle

Jim,

Regarding the hair...I'm not quite sure. For awhile it was disturbing that the only people that knew I had hair were those standing in line behind me. Of course, I know feel completely unfettered and free, since I shave my own hair and can be ready in about 30 seconds for the day.

Of course, I thought I could save on shampoo, etc, but with my teenage boys that's a lost cause. The upside is that surfer-like hair is in, the downside is that they shower 2-3 times a day. Sheesh!

My Son Tries to let his hair grow out like Spicoli's but my wife puts a stop to it pretty fast! Who's kids (boys) wear skinny jeans? Pretty lame they where called boot cut when we where in school. Ask Rod D. They could of named them after him! Sorry Rod It's hard being a trend-setter.

Jerry/Rhonda/everyone:
Where do you want the RSVPs to go? Got the e-mail. Bob and I will both be at the dinner/reunion.
I love the 80s theme idea. My son knows 80s music better than I do, (pretty sad) and plays it all the time on his guitar.
Rhonda - do you have any ideas where to plant a memorial tree for the three class members who are deceased? It might be nice to notify their parents. I have Mary Ann's (Lori's mom) address. If you want, I could contact the school and see if we could do it there, or would it be better to contact the city and plant one in the park?
Keep up the good work, everyone. Can't wait to see you!

Hello Rhonda/Jerry,

Just wanted to RSVP for Shelley and I for the reunion. If there is anything that will include the whole family I can bring my 3 children also.

Not sure on the 80s dress!!!! I don't have any clothing that small. Remember I was only about 5'5" thru high school!

See ya in a few weeks,
Rich

This is a perfect place to RSVP !

Thanks guys ! I'll keep you posted, currently the Brown Bottle is under water... I only just now got internet access back and am currently "unemployed" as my place of business is under water as well.

Rich, something with the families would be fun... maybe a gathering after the parade on Saturday afternoon. I'll see what I can do !

Hey if you guys don't here from me much it is because I'm dealing with a 500 year flood in the city of Wavwerly. So my time will be limited. I will RSVP soon. I hope that any of you that are effected by the flood make it.

To all still in Ia Good luck with all the water. I remember the flood a few years back. Happy to be living on dry ground in MO. We were one of the few houses in IA city with no damage back then.

I'm planning to be there (without Duke). Talked to Michelle Hiler and she's planning on it also. I don't think she has access to e-mail or the Internet. I'll try to contact some more classmates.

Rhonda I will be there where ever it will be. Wish I was unemployed right now. We are working 16 hour shifts. Have to go the next round of flooding is on its way.

Where is Noah when we need him?

Rhonda I think I saw him this morning. I also saw the animals going two by two. We are in for another round here in Waverly again. They say the river is going to crest again at 16 feet or more on Saturday. So pack up the kids and husband and head to higher ground. Well I have to get going and try to get a little sleep.

I'm having a bit of deja vu with the current weather. During the summer of 1993, when we had our 15th reunion, Iowa and most of the midwest was flooded as well.

Coincidence? Are we jinxed? Better check the Farmer's Almanac for summer 2013. :)

Neer even thought about he flood of "93" being the same year as a reunion. Things are looking better for the city of Waverly here as well as Waterloo and Cedar Falls. The flood of "93" was nothing like this one. Well time to get back out there and walk the muddy waters of Waverly.

I am glad to hear maybe it is settling down. I think I remember it was 1993, when we experienced some of that in Kansas City. It's no fun. But it was neat to see the community come together and help everyone out. Why does it take tragedy (9/11, etc.)? We should be that way anyway. Life is mostly good, but there are some struggles. I've had them, and it's tough. At least, I felt it was at the time. What I had to deal with is probably nothing to some. But as the one "suffering", you can REALLY get down.-Kelly

While I'm eating supper out of a cooler, I guess it is better than a dumpster, I vote for the Steak House. I would die right now for a good meal and kill for a steak.

Glad to hear that the flood is settling down. It sounds like Iowa is just devastated by the water and tornados. Hope everyone is doing well and that the losses are minimal for everyone involved.
Take care and see you in a few weeks!

We had hail, hard rain, and blustery wind yesterday in Springfield (Missouri). And I was thankful that it blew over really fast--especially after hearing about and seeing Iowa in the news. I'm waiting for my car to get done (regular suggested maintenance). I love "having Mondays off" to myself to run around, get things done or just relax, and see friends who are also off on Mondays. I am still loving just about every minute of school! See you all soon!
