Hey Guys,

I had a family emergency which called me up to Minneapolis. Take lots of pictures and share them with the rest of us.

I'm sad I can't be there. Have a great time!

Gang, I've been out of the loop a bit lately due to finishing up some consulting projects and going out on a Civil Air Patrol (CAP) GSAR (Ground Search and Rescue) event with my 12-year old. I was all set to leave to come back for the reunion when one of my boys got hurt at Spring Soccer practice and had to have surgery. :-( Kid's mom was already gone to an event she had planned and I needed to stick around at the hospital to sign paperwork and be with him.

I'm very disappointed not to be there with ya'll, since I have yet to make a reunion. *Sigh* perhaps it wasn't meant to be.

I hope you guys and ladies have a great time and get out there on the dance-floor and cut loose.

Note: perhaps due to people missing this years event, perhaps we'll have to break "tradition" and hold a 26 or 27-year reunion? That way we don't have to wait another five years. Just a thought. Enjoy and sorry I'll miss everyone!

Just for them that were not able to make it to the reunion, it sounds like everyone had a good time. Other than the fireworks and street dance were rained out. That was the biggest thing. The parade went off without a hitch. Jerry you need to get some pictures posted when you get back home. He did a great DVD. Maybe if the ones that didn't get to come to the reunion talked nice to him he could put one together for you. For those of you that made the reunion, if I didn't get a chance to say hello or sit down and talk to you more I'm sorry. I'm big but can still only talk to one at a time. Ok I have to run I'll tell you more later.

I'm not sure if anyone is still reading this but I'm soooo disappointed I couldn't make the reunion! I had to take care of things over that weekend and then just got back from RAGBRAI (the bike ride across Iowa). I would love to see more pics and hear more about the weekend if anyone wants to post things. It soundes like it was fun!

Marie we are going to try and keep this site going and the forum. Jerry said he is going to try and get some more pictures posted on the site.

I am sorry that I could not attend the reunion. A big thank you to Jerry and those who have helped to create this web page and get the reunion planned! It has been fun to see the pics. Since I have not been to any, I am not so against breaking tradition and having a 26th or 27th reunion like Jon suggested. Even a potluck in the park, does Hudson still have a park?

Hi All !
The reunion was fun and good to see all who could make it... a reunion is a gathering whenever we choose to get together ! Hudson Days is always the same weekend in July and usually a good time to get together because so many people come back for it. Let's try again next year !

I would love to make it an annual event at Hudson days. If we keep this web site going, it would be very easy to make it happen! Thanks Jerry and Glade for planning a great weekend. Greg - we need to talk to you kids about "bombing floats!"
Hopefully we'll see ya'll next July!

I have to agree with everyone. If we keep the site going and communication going we can have another gathering next year. I would love to see the ones that couldn't make it this year. Hudson Days is always a good time to see others that we haven't seen in a long time. Case and point was the dance this year. I had a hard time even making it to our table to talk to a lot of you, because of all the others that I ran into on the way. And then when I don't get there until 9:00 it is even harder.

Rhonda, Rod and I know that it is pretty easy to have a small reunion when you run into people while building a grill at a friends house and we didn't even know that we all knew the same people. And that was a year ago right before Hudson Days.

Jerry, Glade and everyone responsable for the reunion thank-you so much for all your time and effort!!! Even though I only attended the dinner we had a great time and the slide show was great!! I did not even realize all those clippings were in the paper. After my own kids grad. from a class of 650 or better barely kwowing any of them you realize how nice it was to know your whole class since kindergarten.

Meeting at Hudson Days was a lot of fun. There are always so many old friends there from many different classes. It was too bad the weather did not cooperate on Saturday. Shelley and I come back every summer for a week and will try to schedule that during Hudson Days in the future. Next year we will be coming back at the end of the school year for a couple of HS graduations. That will cause us to miss Hudson Days.
Thanks again to everyone who worked to put this years website and reunion together. It was a lot of fun!

Jerry the Youtube video looks good. To bad you can't get the whole video on there.

Jerry & Glade a big thank you to both of you! Maybe you to should be the President & Vice President of the Reunion committe! I had a great time at the firemans dance, sorry I missed the parade. Was great seeing everyone. Hope we all make to the next one!

I agree with Connie! You two are definitely the Olympic champions of reunions.
I recently bought the book, 1,000 places to see before you die. The villages of Van Buren County in Iowa was one of the listings so Bob and I checked it out this weekend. Not sure why it made the list. There were some nice historical homes, but none that could be toured. If your in the area check it out, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

Hey everyone I didn't have that much to do with the reunion, but thanks for the compliments. Jerry did most of the work. It was fun to help him with it, but I wouldn't have wanted to do all that Jerry did. Except for I have all kinds of time now at home since getting hurt at work. So keep posting so I have something to do.

So Jerry I have been meaning to ask, How bad did you shake around out there during the earthquake?

08/11/08 05:09 PM #137

Lynette Boss (Lender)

What happened, Glade? Hope it isn't anything too serious.

I blew out my left knee. I'm just sitting around waiting for them to figure out what they are going do with it. They are going to do an MRI this week.

08/12/08 01:30 PM #139

Jerry Randall

Hi
Glade
I was loading one of my scooters in my truck when everything started to shake,I almost dropped my bike. I hope your MRI comes out ok.

08/18/08 09:23 PM #140

Rhonda Quillin (Hinton)

Glade,
I hope your knee gets better ! You shouldn't be running those marathons at your age ?!
Jerry, I can't imagine living where they have earthquakes, that probably took some getting used to when you moved out there...
I say we don't wait for another 5 years, but whoever can make it back for Hudson Days should give it a try and make it an Unofficial reunion ...

Have a great week everyone !

HA HA!!! Rhonda, I just turned 44 on the 7th. I had the MRI done today and will know the results on Wednesday when I see the doctor. I just hope they don't have to scope my knee or cut on it. I will be out for 3 to 4 months. I'll go crazy sitting around that long. It's only been three and a half weeks now and I'm going crazy. I'm all for another reunion before our 30th. We just need to keep up the site here and we can. Well it is time for a Vicodin and then a nap.

Has Erin had her wedding or is it still coming up?

OK now I have been waiting for someone to post something. Talked to Jerry and I told him I was going to post something so here it is. Lets not forget to stay in touch with each other.

My knee is all healed, I'm not going to be a cripple, but they say it is not fixed for good. I still have pain going up and down steps, so we are waiting to see how that goes. The Doc says I can go back to running after bad guys and back to training K9's. No more office work.

I hope everyone is in good health and ready for another reunion/or get together next summer. Jerry and I are just going to sit back and have a drink at the next one.

Glade
