Hey everyone ! I've had trouble getting on here for awhile... it wasn't working or something. Anyway, Erin got married on 9/27 and I am officially a mom-in-law ! I can't say everything went without a hitch, but it was beautiful and everyone had a great time. As you can imagine, being in banking right now is very crazy but I'm surviving... Very ready for the election to be over as I'm sure everyone is... Erin and I have taken an interest and been to some GOP events for McCain.
anyway, time to get back to work !

Howdy gang,

It's been awhile, since I've posted and was glad to see everyone still on here. Life has been the normal craziness, since school started. I've moved into the realm of my oldest having his license, so it's a double-edge sword of convenience and stress!

My #2 is a sophomore too and the starting safety for his 1A high school football team. They'd be in the same classification as Hudson. They've qualified for the state playoffs (final 16) with another game left in the regular season (this Thursday) against their rivals. They barely lost their first game of the season to a much bigger school and have gone on a seven game winning streak. They're ranked 7th in the state and it's a fun ride. I'm the stats guy and website designer/maintainer. http://www.nvfootball.com

Glad to see updates on Marie, Rhonda, Susan via Facebook and feel free to send me a friend request. http://www.facebook.com/people/Jonathan_Cragle/1231821144

Be safe and stay in touch! P.S. Congrats Rhonda on the addition...of a son-in-law

Great to see some posts. Thanks Jerry for sending out a email. So Rhonda you are an inlaw. How does that feel? John looks like you are staying busy with everything.

Rhonda I like your veiws on the GOP. GO McCain, Vote McCain !!!!! I feel left out here on the campus, nobody is supporting McCain. Everything is Obmama around here. Good to see something other than that. I don't dare put out a McCain sign in the yard. I think they would burn my house down.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! It was 50 degrees out when I went to the Waffle House at 4AM this morning! I could not believe it! Then I have two parties tonight and tomorrow night I have to get ready for. I have been pretty good this year, and I would like everyone to have some cheer. I wouldn't mind a couple new music CD's, some perfume, and I always love clothes. Maybe I should ask for a sunny trip to Arizona, Florida, California, Texas, or Cancun! Ha! Really, I guess I don't really need anything but to replace my windshield on my car. Well, I am going to go wash my TSX and work out. I need to lose some weight. I am getting a little more chunky than I really want to be. I hope to hear from somebody...

We missed the ice further North. We got 10 inches of snow and with the winds we had over the weekend it is a mess around here. I'll take the 37 degree temps and maybe even the ice that they got in Des Moines. But I guess we choose to live in Iowa we should except what we get. At least I'm getting my white Christmas.

Merry Christmas Everyone ! I don't have to dream about a
White Christmas anymore ... The boys are loving it
because they can get the snowmobiles out... I'll get on one but not when its below zero outside ! My Christmas
wish is for world peace :) and the Cubs to win the world
series... gotta dream big !

It's dropped to 7 on the thermometer in Springfield. I guess we might as well maybe go to Iowa today!

It looks like we are going to have a wet Christmas here, more rain and more to come.

I look out the window at this hour and what do I see more snow. So if you all want a good old fashioned midwest Christmas head to Iowa. That is if the roads are good enough to get you here.

Hey my cup is half full. It is warming up out there. It is above zero for a day. Time to do the happy dance. Got to go hitch the dogs to the sled. HA

A blast from the past - Remember when we were kids and we would wait by the radio, 1330 or 1650 on the AM dial, yes the radio, you remember those things, to hear if school was CXL'D. Then we would get all dressed up run outside and play in the snow for fifteen minutes run back in the house and do it all over agian in another hour or two. Then as we got older we would turn off the radio, roll over and go back to sleep. Now what do kids do, sit by the computer and wait for it to post on the internet.

I remember waiting for Jim Ganahl with the weather report and thinking he should have been fired for not cancelling school. I also recall the kids in the country did not have school or would start late. Good memories, no school making snow forts, playing pond hockey at the park.
Merry Christmas

Students here at Wartburg think we are evil and need to be fired sometimes to, because we don't cancel school. Kind of hard to say don't come to class today when 95% of the students live on campus and can walk two blocks to there class. I laugh when they are talking about how they think they should have cancelled classes because of the weather.

Rhonda we are closer to World Peace than we are to the Cubs winning the series. And that is coming from a Cubs fan. The Cubs are looking better every year now. We may see it happen before we retire

We are "snowless" in Springfield, Missouri. Ha! Last week, we spent five beautiful snowy days in DeWitt, Iowa--where my parents and my sisters and their families live. According to my mom, we were supposed to just enjoy each other's company and weren't going to exchange gifts. This time Kay and Karma were the rebels. They had a couple of small things wrapped up and under the tree for us. So, I came up with some stuff: a pair of pants for Kay and some music for Karma. I guess we started our own "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". Did you see that movie or read the book?!? Karma said she might want to wear the pants for a while too. I guess I better go do something constructive...♠
