Happy St Patrick's Day !

Jim, my brother Mike is in Grovertown IN - is that close to you ?

Your daughter did pretty good on the text message count, my niece hit 9,000 in a month...some of those were even to her aunt :)

Rhonda,

Grovertown is about 75 miles north and west of me. More like 30 miles straight west and 45 miles straight north. I knew Mike was living in Indiana cause Dan told me. Dan and I exchange emails occassionally.

I am happy to say that the texting has slowed a little. Not much, but some.

Are we planning a non year reunion this year? It sounds like I will be in Cedar Rapids around Father's Day this year. Something about helping my brother put a new roof on his house. I'm beginning to get too old for that. :)

I will be back in early July for a wedding but not for Hudson days. I plan on attending the 2010 all year reunion. Is anyone else thought about this summer or summer 2010?

Happy St Patricks day to everyone out there. Nobody says we have to wait until Hudson Days to get together. We can put something together quick and just get together for supper or something.

Ok Jerry I'll buy when I get my check from Obama.

Glade
You better trade in your soda cans for a quicker refund. By the way Obama is here in Costa mesa speaking at the Fairgrounds in Orange County today. People are trying to sell tickets for much as $1000

Jerry how did you know I had so many pop cans to return. I said that if Obama sends me any money it will go towards buying another gun for the collection. I got to see him on campus for free and I was not impressed at all. I'll be damned if I would pay to see him.

There is a bill out there from one of his people that is just waiting to take the right to have a fire arm. They even want to be able to enter your house and check your guns. Now I'm not a real bright person, but I don't think I would want that job to enter a persons house to check to see if their guns are all registered. It maybe kind of hard to get life insurance.

How about a job checking to see if your pop cans are registered? Seems a little safer to me.

I guess I should probably pay a little more attention to politics. Oh, why? Duke's interested in that subject. If I need to know something, or there's something really pressing, I can get it from him. Ha! On a lighter note: it's only 60 today and I am freezing (after the past couple days in the 70's and 80's)! Sometimes we really get spoiled, huh?

Jerry that will be the next thing with him. That would be a much safer job. I got your voicemail tonight I will try to call you Friday night. I was in the middle of booking in a criminal when you called.

Kelly I'm sorry sometimes I have a problem with speaking my mind on the way some people run the Untied States. I will try to keep things on the lighter side of things. It was a little cooler up here today, but it is going to start warminng up again today.

Wow, it's been a long time since anyone has checked in. Jim, give me a call if you are still coming to Cedar Rapids for Father's Day. Maybe we could meet up for dinner or something. (But as you probably remember, I don't do heights, so I'll leave the roofing to you.)

Anyone doing any major traveling this summer?

We are heading to Missouri is a few weeks for a SHORT family get away. It's nice having Eric home for the summer, though the only way I really know he's home from college is there is lots more laundry, and lots less food in the fridge!

When is Hudson Days? I think that we should get together, even if it is just for dinner or drinks. Count me in!
I'm watching major storm warnings right now that are right around Hudson. Keep safe!

I think Hudson Days is the 3rd weekend in July...I'll do some checking. Lynette, the storms were crazy ! We took my youngest to Church camp at Pine Lake in Eldora..2 hours after we drop him off there was a tornado warning for Hardin County! It's going to be a long week for mom :) There are more classmates checking in on Facebook...everyone should check it out! What's fun is that you can connect with people from other classes too.. there is a Hudson group on there.

Hope everyone is having a great summer !

Hello everyone
It"s been a while, I hope everyone is doing well. I wish I could make it back this summer, but we have to much going on.
Keep in touch
Jerry

Rhonda, I can relate to the church camp fear. Last year Eric was working as a counselor at a church camp when the tornadoes came through Parkersburg. He was in charge of a group of 4th grade boys sleeping in covered wagons at an outpost. He sent me a text that said he was taking his kids and running 3/4 mile to the nearest shelter. Talk about gut=wrenching, but all were okay.
Guess we'll be missing Hudson Days this year as we will be out of town.
Take care everyone.

Not sure if this was already noted but Marie Feazell's mom passed away this summer too. Time just keeps on rolling and we are getting older. Pretty soon we are going to be 50 and fabulous!!! Happy Labor Day! I hope not everybody has to labor on this day. A woman's job is never done. I have to figure out what I'm going to take to a picnic besides a Boca burger for Duke! Ha!

Hello again, hello...Florida's great. Could live here all the time. I hope everyone has a fun Halloween. I remember some fun ones we all had together in the past while we were in school.

So sad to hear about Glade. I know he helped Jerry get us together for our reunion, and it was really nice to reconnect with him. Prayers are going out to all who will miss him.

It saddens me to hear the news about Glade. I was shocked
when I received the email today. I just spoke with Glade about two weeks
ago. Glade was a great person, I will miss him dearly, actually, we
all will miss him.

11/08/09 02:13 PM #216

Marie Feazell (Rainforth)

it was just so sad to get this news. After all these years the connection with Facebook is a great way to catch up again. I'm so glad I had that chance with Glade (and everyone now). Reunions and these things become more of a priority every year.

Yes, it is so sad. I am glad we connected again last year at the reunion, and we "talked" on this page and Facebook. Sadness (to hear Glade's passed away from this earth), joyfulness (to know I am going to go sing from my heart in an "I Cannot Keep Silent" concert at 7PM), and thankfulness (to know I am forgiven and given a second chance at life), is what I am feeling.

What happened to Glade? Is there an online obit?

I am glad we ALL got to see him last summer. Each passing of a classmate makes me feel older. We really need to step up the effort to get our missing classmates found and online with us here.
