John Cochran

We're getting closer each day to what should be our best reunion ever, folks- We're all getting to an age where there are no guarantees, and I think it's great when so many of us can still get together to relive a time that was one of the greatest periods of our life- I'm looking forward to that time together, and hope that, if you haven't thought about coming to the reunion, you would reconsider and provide yourself w/ a great time of fellowship and remembrance- Who knows how many more times we may be able to do so?? May God Bless, and I'll see you there.

Hi John, mind if I quote from your post in my next email reminder to those who have not yet registered for the reunion?

With the reunion less than 2 weeks away, I was wondering if anybody might have some old Whitesburg/ Mountain Gap yearbooks that could be brought to go along with the Grissom yearbooks ?? I have tried to find old jr. high yearbooks and can't, for the life of me, find any.

Thought they might be good to look through......thanks.

Might want to consider LARGE name tags for us.  Might be easier than having to squint or put on glasses to remember names.  It might just be just my problem though.  Figure 6" by 8" should work!

John Cochran

Agree w/ Tom, might not be a bad idea.

The showdown between you and Morse over this is going to be epic, J.D...... How about holding it until Saturday morning when I'll be able to see it.

We hit 110 classmates and 36 guests registered for the reunion tonight (Tuesday, July 8)!  I expect we will top 150 when I check tomorrow morning!!!

You look great J. D.!  Us airline pilots have to stick together.  You know, we know how to keep our bodies in top physical condition, for our public appearance is paramount to our job.  Look good, fly good!

For all of you guys and gals that shared our remarkable football season in 1973, I'll be bringing something special to the reunion. The guys will like it more than the gals though. I bet none of you guys or gals can guess what it is???

07/09/14 11:48 AM #75

John Cochran

Mike, just a wild guess here....... game ball from that great win over Butler ??

07/09/14 04:11 PM #76

Mike Weesner

John, Good guess but that's not it. I'll give a hint after a few more guesses from the crowd.

Rick Shrout

Umm, your entire uniform...

07/10/14 12:17 AM #78

J. D. Webster

.... a cheerleader? ...

07/10/14 08:30 AM #79

Mike Weesner

JD, It's not a cheerleader but I do have one of those in the house.

Rick is very close but I would like a specific answer i.e. uniform is too broad.

David "Catfish" Campbell

I concur on LARGE PRINT for name tags and really anything else we are to read - my arms has gotton shorter over the years!

07/10/14 10:43 AM #81

Frank Digesu

Remembering you from high school, it has to be your Jockstrap!

07/10/14 11:31 AM #82

Mike Weesner

LOL... Come on Frank!  That's kind of gross dude but funny. I don't think that was part of the uniform either. If I remember correctly, we wore girdles at GHS.

07/10/14 11:32 AM #83

John Cochran

Frank, you just went to a really dark place.....That would be brutal.

07/10/14 11:33 AM #84

John Cochran

Maybe your helmet, with all those little achievement stickers we used to get.

07/10/14 11:48 AM #85

Rick Kepler

Mike it is your Football Jersey from our senior years ---- I have mine - not sure where and I have my letter jacket - again not sure where but I have it somewhere

07/10/14 12:05 PM #86

John Cochran

Good guess, Stump......mine is in a storage bin in our garage, I think, but the question is......does the #42 still fit ??

07/10/14 03:51 PM #87

Mike Weesner

OK Cochran is the winner. Yes I still have my helmet from our senior year with all the stickers. Now can anyone guess what the stickers were exactly. I'll give you guys one i.e. the hatchet or the savages tomahawk sticker. I believe we had another five stickers and one of the five were for the defense. By the way, I don't remember getting my jersey and my jacket was stolen at the YMCA my senior year. That was a nice jacket too. Oh yeah...  the reason I have the helmet is becasue mine got cracked in the West End game and coach Robinson gave it to me. That's why we lost to Banks. I didnt have my lucky helmet on LOL!
