David E. Hendley, age 49, of Iberia, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Tuscumbia on February 5, 1961, son of Ralph and Ruby (Vaughan) Hendley. On January 8, 1983, in Iberia, David married Carol Ann Falter, who survives at the home.
David farmed and also drove a cattle truck for a living. He was a member of the Iberia Church of Nazarene.
He is also survived by two sons, Jeff Hendley and wife Kristal and Matt Hendley both of Iberia; two granddaughters, Hallie Hendley and Lillyan Hendley; parents Ralph and Ruby Hendley of Iberia; three sisters, Shirley Marvin and husband Mark of Olathe, Kansas, Carolyn Hendley of Olathe, Kansas, and Lisa Nonneman and husband Dan of Hastings, Nebraska; one brother, Daniel Hendley and wife Sheila of Iberia; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Taliya Helton.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Brian Jarrett and Rev. Jeff Higbie will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Point near Iberia.
