Joan Kaufman Williams, age 75, of Midland Park, died on Thursday, March 15, 2012. Born in Newark, Joan had lived in Hawthorne before moving to Midland Park forty years ago. She worked as a secretary for Northern Propane Gas and more recently as a crossing guard in Ridgewood. Joan had a passion for the Hawthorne Caballeros and was a member of its Ladies' Auxiliary. Joan Williams was the beloved wife of George A. Williams. Loving mother of John Carr and his wife Leslie of Kingston, NY, Kathi Fiore and her husband Don of Millburn, NJ, and Thomas Carr and his wife Trish of Stewartsville, NJ. Stepmother of Wendy Williams of Blue Ridge, VA, and Gary Williams and his wife Kim of Roanoke, VA. Dear grandmother of Melissa Phillips and her husband Garrett, William Carr and his wife Andrea, Kaitlyn Fiore, Lauryn Fiore, Raymond Fiore, Noah Carr and Joshua Carr.
