I remember that he always was a pleasure to meet because somewhere in the conversation you were going to have a big laugh about something that he would bring up. He could somehow find the humor in life which is a very important part of living. I am sure that his loss will leave a void that can only be filled by continued trust and faith in God. I just got the news this evening when I read an e-mail from Sylvia. Thanks Sylvia for alerting me. You truly get behind when you don't check the site for a few days. I want to also wish a continued recovery for you Roxanne. I pray that you come forth with new energy and vigor and even greater health that will sustain you for years and years to come. I wish all classmates the desires of their hearts during 2010.

01/23/10 08:35 PM #921     Girtha (Gigi ) Morgan (1975) (McMullen) (1975) yes indeed Bernard will be greatly missed .he loved pictures.he always had a camera .i bet he had a picture of almost everyone he met along the way.i remember him saying i want to take your picture right now .that meant you did not have time to get ready by then it was as good as taken.my deepest prayers go out to the CAINE family who are also some of the first black pioneers of Jacksonville(Pablo) Beach.maybe an album can be put together and donated to the rhoda martin center in honor of bernard.he had a happy spirit about him.

I have been down now three weeks with my back trying to avoid back surgery. Please keep me in your prayers that God will heal me without the use of surgery.
