Ole Time Brown Bag Lunch

Ole Time Brown Bag Lunch at the Rhoda L. Martin Cultural Heritage Center is a great way to connect with your cultural community. A cultural community is a place in a community that has a culture which one finds interesting. The Rhoda L. The Center features some of the original furniture, books and other materials from the 1920's through the 1990's. There are numerous writings and photographs which bring our history to life.

Ole Time Brown Bag Lunch will be a great opportunity to share with friends and to meet new ones, visit the first colored school of Jacksonville Beach and the current exhibit “Rhoda’s Friends Quilt Show”. I Pray Everyone had a Great Easter this past weekend!

To the Classmates of this site, I would like to take this opportunity to formally today in our Message Forum, Thank our Chairpersons.(Willard, Sylvia and Barbara).

God touched their Hearts and they supported me in with a letter of recommendation to become a member of this organization. One of my Passion's and that to; help and share knowledge, which could benefit someone, whenever possible.

As you read my posting listed below, stop and think back and now today, if there is someone you know who you can help along the way, share this information With Them and Be Blessed!

Thanks again, for your support in my becoming a member of the Blue Cross and Blue shield of FL.’s, Blue Foundation’s Employee review team (ERT).

I would like to say to each any everyone of you; if you or a family member or friend you know of are a part of a 501(c)(3) commonly referred to as charitable organizations/nonprofit organization or if the chairperson’s of our website are planning on turning this group into that type of nonprofit organization, under the synopsis of the Heritage Center; a organization that will be looking for funding, go to our website and read the qualifications and apply.

I am here to tell you that there is a firm leadership goal within the BCBSFL and their Diversity Leadership to reach out to the underserved and underprivileged individuals who reside in the State of Florida, a commitment to better healthcare and services.

Classmates, Alumni’s, the Choice is Yours! “Go and Share the word, It’s as simple as going to Blue Foundation of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida website and applying.

Again,
Thank You to our Chairpersons, we are continually making History!

My Essenyce

Brown Bag Lunch Program April 24th

Hello Everyone,

Most of you are aware of our brown bag lunch program every 4th Saturday of the month that is implimented in order to generate both funds for our center,new visitors and volunteer sign ups. Being that the next event is also the weekend of the official beach opening parade we think that we might be able to take advantage of the additional traffic coming to the beach on that saturday if our teammembers can pull together and route some of the Beach Blvd and 3rd Street traffic to our lot where the brown bag lunches consisting of:

* Hot Fish Sandwich

* Potatoe Chips

* Cookie

* Drink

Volunteer hours for this project 10am to 2pm

This event is two weeks out and it cant happen if we cant produce the volunteers needed to make it happen. I need to here from our volunteer commitee or any of our commitee members by Wednesday 14th so we can secure enough volunteers for this project.

In addition to drawing traffic from the roads we need our commitee members to sell at least 5 tickets for our brown bag lunch.

I know this is only a two weeks notice and challenge but we need to take advantage of every opportunity we possibly can for our center's future.

Please respond ASAP

Rhoda L. Martin Heritage Cultural Center

Survey done Barbara.

What's the word my 144/Fletcher ladies/gents? I know it's been a min. since I last posted.  I now have more demands and responsibilities of staff.  Is everyone doing OK, and being blessed.  My oldest daugther cross the line yesterday, she's offically a DELTA.  The fam got front row seat for the festivities tonight in the "A". Whooray for her.

04/23/10 04:11 PM #976

Willard Dudley(1971 ) (1971)

She should have been an AKA, but Deltas are fine.

Lerexford (Rex) Easterly (1975 ) (1975)

Willard, her aunt is an AKA, however, she had been studying the history of the Delta's for over two yrs.  Man what a performance they put on last night. It was tight, my wife and I enjoy every min of it.  Now my youngest daugther is all geek up to pledge in the next yr. or so.

04/24/10 03:34 PM #978

Lerexford (Rex) Easterly (1975 ) (1975)

Dang, I forgot to say Happy Birthday to all of those who became a yr. older in the last several months.

Live life to the fullest!

Zach:  Man those Deltas and A.K.A.s are a trip.  I hope you can handle it all.  My wife is the president of one of the two grad chapters here in Tallahassee and  she stays busy.  They just had over 4500 meet in Atlanta over the past weekend.  Did you pledge?  I never did. It was all I could do to graduate!

I've enjoyed my profession, which had nothing to do with my degree, but i still wish i had picked up a trade instead of college. I'm big on trade schools, the labor of the land, electrical, plumming carpentry, welding.

04/26/10 12:25 AM #981

Lerexford (Rex) Easterly (1975 ) (1975)

Wow!, No I didn't pledge, I was busy trying to make the grade.  College really wasn't my cup of tea, so I redirected my focus in computer engineering (certifications) from trade schools.  I'm just a hands on type of guy.  Hey it afords me to pay the girls tutition.  I'm still in search of what we discuss several months ago. No bargins yet.
