I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Barbara Bennett. I hadn't seen her in such a long time but I fondly remember her from #144 and throughout our years at Fletcher.  She was always the perfect lady with a genuine smile and a loving spirit.  She will not be forgotten.

Remember when you were young (for some it might be to hard to remember that far back) when you would ask an elder person how were they doing and they would start by saying, " well child I guest I am ok, but Its not been one of my better days. Child everything seems to be hurting and I just don't know what to do but pray." Well child I now understand what they were talking about. I cannot believe how many aches and pain one body can have. My back has 4 bad disc, my knee from past injury is now hurting, my trigger finger can't point straight and I can't sleep through the night without waking up. But through it all I am having a ball and life is just wounderful. My wife "says" she still loves me and the bills are getting paid. Went on a cruise in April and waiting for the summer to start a new venture.

Sorry I have not been keeping up with whats been going on but I have missed knowing what is going on with everyone. Pray for me that I won't have to have back surgery to corrent the pain. It is not on my schedule to be done but who knows but him. This too shall past.

Thanks

Another brother trying to make it into the kingdom.

Janet thanks for sharing the photos of  James with us and taking us back down memory lane . Also, your daughter looks so beautiful and her wedding dress was gorgeous . So glad that james was able to share in this event.  I think for all of us that attended the reunion one of the highlights that we will always remember is how much Booty seemed to enjoy himself.  I mean I don't think that there was anybody there that he didn't greet and talked to.  He was just all over the place and seemed like he was having the time of his life. I thank God that we all got to share this time and have some happy memories to remember him by. I know you miss him very much because I can't remember a time when there was a James without Janet.  You all are the love story that some people only dream about.  Your love will go on into eternity.

You are so right Sylvia  James, was all over the place with a conversation for everyone, coming up (growing) he was one of the coolest bros. in the beaches area.  He had that swagg about himself.  I wanted to hang with him but wasn't quite season enough, As they say "I still had milk around my mouth" LOL.

Of all of the affairs I've attended over the yrs. the reunion gotta be in my top three.  Folks I had a ball, let's do it again.

Come on classmates. Did we or did we not promise that we were going to do better and keep in touch?  Are we waiting on a funeral?  There has to be lots of good things going on and i think we should all share it  and allow others to hear about it.

For me, retired a week and loving it.  Working hard, but for myself. I'm, finally, my own boss.

There are a couple of good graduations going on out there.  Lisa Dove and her sister JaFora both have graduates this week.  Lisa(Dove) has a daughter graduating valedictorian of her class in Atlanta, earning her a full scholarship to Georgetown.  Parenting skills at work.

Talked to Donnie Waters at the salt, still complaining about his back but thanking God for being able to make it through without surgery, so far.

Still proud of Lacy, no cigarettes, and he say he is feeling much better. hint, hint smokers!!!!!

My sister Tonette Arnold was in the hospital with heart problems, but is home and doing well.

Jimmy Gamble was under the weather a few days but is doing fine. I think he did'nt want to play me golf  that week.

If anybody tail-gates for the jaguar games or want to start a tailgate group, let me know.  I'm ready for the season to begin.

Time to go. I know there is more good news out there.  Don't be bashful.  Your classmates care and won't to know.

p.s.  If nobody puts up a fuss or makes a request for an event, we can't plan for one.  So if you want to do it again you need to speak up and let us hear you!

ALL Be Blessed....

Well memorial day has gone celebrated the troops and now I am waiting for the summer break from DCPS school.

Have you ever planned a long weekend and planned it to be simply four days of rest and relaxation, then you get a call from relatives saying we haven't seen you in a while and we know that you are not able to make the trip....so we are coming to visit you! Pull out the grill and the crab pot so you can cook us some good old barbecue and boiled blue crabs with all the fixings. Man we can't wait to get there. We are coming on friday and staying until monday so we can have a long weekend. Now....they understand that I have a bad back and can't do the long drive, but I can stand over a hot grill and crab pot, and sit up all night talking after they have filled there stomach's and napped while I slaved over the grill. Could have said no....but it was my wife's mother and favorite uncle and aunt. Guest what they even brought with them their bad grand kids whom I love to death. All in all I really enjoyed the company, especially watching her uncle squirm when the Lakers were kicking but. My mother-in-law loves sports and she was down with me pulling for the Lakers. My wife hates the Lakers but she gave Kobe his due!!! My/her uncle was a laker fan until he thought Phoenix was coming back, then he saw it wasn't going to happen he tried to switch back, but.....NO WAY BUDDY~~~ YOU ARE A SUN. Family time together is great and its best you do it while you can. But next holiday I will travel so I can sat and enjoy the feast.

My birthday is coming very soon June 9, and I am excepting all gifts that start or end with Benz or Lexus, maybe F150,,,,,SERIOUS!

Hope everyones ok and looking forward to the summer as much as I am. I am going to be as young as I can and enjoy every moment. God has blessed me 58 years so I plan to celebrate living to the fullest bad back and all. Drop a pill and find a thrill.

Donald

Another brother trying to get to Heaven

Pray for me and mine and I will do the same.

By the way Lex....I mean Rex what's the difference my wife call me Honey until I forget to take out the garbage, then she calls me all over the house by all sort of loving names and guest what I answer to all of them and sometimes I even say Yes Ma'am.

I have learn that I don't care what I am called as long as I am called. Some of Our brothers and sisters can't answer the call. Just thought that would stir some ruffles.

I love My Wife....

SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE THE WIVES!

Lex, Rex Tex, hey Donnie it's all in good in da spirit of life.  Well I'm no Boston fan, however, I think the Lakers will go down in six, due to Boston's deep bench.  Any bets out there?
