Classmates, for those of you who responded to the flashback memories, your name will be added to a drawing for free ticket to the next reunion! Yes, the 'Horse" was one of the songs back in the day and when I heard it I visualize Mr. Friend saying lets hear 2 Bits , we must have said that cheer ten times each Pep Rally and then he would tell the Band to strike up the Horse to see who had the most spirit. Doris and Lolita won many tickets.(smile). Sheila, tell us about the white go go boots, where you and your cuz on a dance team at 144 or was it a talent Show?

Oh wow! The horse, dang I just flashback somewere 40 yrs ago, barefoot in the dirt around the corner on the patio of one of the juke joints spots doing the horse with friends.

Can you believe I gave up my last dime to hear that song again instead of buying my two for a penny cookies. Take me back Sylvia, ha man chills just went down my spine when I played your clip, that's on da real.

Okay if I recall I think we called them talent shows and I was on one side and Neecee the other and we were juking down. It was like they were talent scouts searching for the two of yes went the shows came around.

Well anyhoo! It was fun. I even remeber the preacher the Late Randall Reed ( not sure on the names ) had the televised show in Jacksonville, and we went on there anyone remember that!

Oh yes I did Go there! LOL!

Anyway it was a blast and I still enjoy music and dancing. As a matter of fact I looked the song up on Bear Share and downloaded the version for old times sakes. and watching soul train in the Centric channel. Lord Have Mercy!

Welcome back Roxanne, it's truly a blessing to have a G. Ma well at her age. I'm in the D.C. area from time to time.

Shelia, I like the format on the Centric channel as well. Now the Soul Train show that was the, Ops! "shut my mouth". My girls are like what are they doing, what's up with the colorful outfts, and hair. I just laugh and say it was a different day and time sweetie.

Hello, everyone I’d like to share something with you. This past Sunday Shirley Sampson (my cousin) and I shared another birthday 8/15. Growing up together, she and I always referred to ourselves as the twin-cousins. ..we were born on the very same day, she in the morning and I later that evening.

As I think back over the past 57 years and of our relationship as cousins and friends, we have “never” had an argument or disagreement about anything. I can’t say that about any other person/relationship …my sisters and brothers and I have fought, had disagreements etc; but Shirley and I have never quarreled etc. How amazing is that? I thank God for that, and for the special (twin) cousin and friend he gave me.

Shirley Sampson McCray I love you, you are so special to me and I Praise God for you. I hope we will have many more birthdays together and I know we will still be able to say…never an angry word, or disagreement in this life or the one to come.

I was thinking about you on Tuesday of this week when I attended an event at the (BCBSFL) DCC conference center.

You know it's great to be able to share good memories and thoughts and I too have a cousin like that and we share very similar instances and get along when sometimes I can't see eye to eye with a sibling, she is like a sister to me! (Sandra).

Hello everyone. I am really excited. no work, fall is in the air and most importantly JAGUAR football. Jag haters are welcome. I understand that, thats what they do hate. I can't worry about haters, i've gotta worry about making sure we have a team in Jacksonville next year.

I hope that everyone is well or well on your way to recovery or feeling better. Barbara, Sylvia and myself are excited about planning our next reunion. We have'nt even started but i'm gonna stick my neck out there and say you don't want to miss it. New people will be involved and the old ones will be more involved. So, lets eat right, exercise, loose a few pounds (gain some in some cases), and start saving your nickel and dimes. We want everyone to dig under every nook and cranny to find our classmates that were not there last time. Now is a good time for anyone that has an idea to throw it up on the message board so we can consider it. We need all the help we can get.
