I do know that the services will be held in Duluth, GA  which is in the Atlanta areabut no other details as of yet.  I am waiting for Pinky Washington  to fill me in when she know more details.  Take Care Classmates

My condolences to the Currelly family.  May god be with you during this difficult time.    Also, I would like to offer my condolences to Diane Gadson and her family.

Regretfully, I was not able to attend the homegoing services for Veronica Bennett but I did get a chance to stop by and pay my respects the night before.  Veronica's family had already gone home but I did get a chance to sit and visit with her husband's family.  When I told them I was from her hometown and we  grew up and went to school together, they responded, " you went to Fletcher?'  So, I gathered she must have shared with them about the reunion and I told them how glad I was that we got to spend the time with her.

THE HOSPITAL IT WOULD REALLY BE NICE IF YOU WOULD SEND A MESSAGE OR MAKE A PHONE CALL
AND ASK HOW IS THAT PERSON'S LOVED ONE DOING. MY MOM IS IN THE HOSPITAL GETTING BETTER EVERYDAY AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU TO 
THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE CALLED AND ASKED HOW SHE IS DOING BECAUSE AT TIMES LIKE THIS A
 PHONE CALL OR A MESSAGE GOES ALONG WAY AND WILLARD IS SO RIGHT A PERSONAL AGENDA DURING THESE TIMES DOES NOT HELP AT ALL.

All the things we as a group have shared would not have been possible three years ago.

Even though all of it has not been good, but there is strength in numbers.

I pray for all the classmates who are going through what seem to be a dark time in your life.

However, if you keep your faith in the light he will see you through.  Just in case your problems

seem to heavy and you have  forgotten  JESUS is the light of the world.

It is nice to know that there are classmates that care about our family members.  I was in Jacksonville this pass weekend to help my brother Terry,  please keep him in your prayers. He has been in and out of the hospital for about two months and has to return on Wednesday.  My heart hurts for the pain that he is going through, but most of all I do know that their is a person that sits high, knows all and is still in the healing business.

If the devil can't attack us , he will try anyone in our family.  Everyday I feel myself getting stronger in the Lord for that I give him all the Glory.

You should come on back and join in the celebrations going on; bring your kids, their kids, there are a lot of Great events, educational, fun, drama classes, internet access, computers; ZUMBA sessions; benefits for us all.   After all it's our beginning!

Goodmorning all: As we celebrate the upcoming one year anniversary of our class reunion (my, how time flies), i thought i would try to bring you up-to-date on where we are.

We have no plans to do anything this year (2010).  However, It would be nice if those that are able take part in the Rhoda Martin Centers "low country boil" coming up real soon on OCTOBER 9th, FROM 3 UNTIL 6.  That reminds me, i gotta get my $30 in.

Some time in the next couple of months Barbara, Sylvia and myself will have a couple of meetings to sit down and brainstorm a general plan or discuss what direction we should take in "making it happen"... again.

THE FIRST OF THE YEAR, hopefully January, we will present to everone what we would like to do.  We will also at that time   identify committee heads and start to form committees.

IN MAY, hopefully, we will present to everyone the details of "making it happen again."

NOW is the time for anyone who is interested to starting thinking of ideas you have for the reunion or thinking about working on or heading a committee.  NOW is also a good time to save a dollar or two here and there for the sole purpose of attending this event.

All comments or ideas are welcome.   Don't wait until the last minute to be heard.  If you do we could all miss out on a potentially great idea.
