REUNION IN DANGER OF BEING CANCELLED!
OLD FACTS: In 2009 between 300 and 350 people participated in the Donner Park Picnic. One-third or more did not contribute moniteralily to the event. This was ok and doable. We were able to accommodate all classmates and their families without extra cost, thanks to the benevolent contributions of Elder Golden's church and the hard work of David thomas, Robert Golden and other volunteers. The Friday night meet and greet was the sole contribution of the Rhoda Martin Center.
Saturday night's event was attended by 250 people or more. A small number of those who attended the social did not contribute to it financially. Again, this was doable do to the number of those who did pay.
There were some who attended both events and did not contribute to any event financially.
NEW FACTS: Currently there are only about 10 or 12 people who have paid. Trust me, we all know how hard times are and how we like to hold on to that money. there have been a good number of people who say they plan to attend. This is fine, but it does not keep the wheels of the reunion rolling. As of right now there are not enough people to have the event. We are going to wait another week or two to see what happens. If enough financial interest is not made the event will be cancelled. NOTE: IT HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED YET! If not enough funds have not been received in two weeks we regretfully have no other choice but to cancel the event. The suggestion of a smaller venue has been suggested and is being considered. ANYONE THAT PAYS FOR THE EVENT WILL BE REFUNDED PROMPTLY IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED.
Now it its up to you!!!!
