Happy belated Mother's day to all of the Mother's on this link. I flew back to the ATL this past weekend and my wife had a honey dew list waiting for me at the front door. Darn three days worth of yard work on Mother"s day weekend. So with that being said I"m back online feeding this thread.

What's going on JB144 crew?

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Thomas family. Jerry (AKA hut-n-tuck)Thomas was a good hearted man and classmate of 75.

May his soul rest in peace.

Grace Currelley Mitchell, take a break from your busy schedule and holla back at a brother. I met your cousin Casandra and my 6th grade classmate, the professional and former SOS lead singer at one of her ATL outdoor concerts. She didn't remember me until I began naming several family members. Her cd's are so smooth and silky.

Rex, or should I say Rexie

WANTED: PICTURES OF DONNIE WATERS AND JAMES GAMBLE FROM 6 OR 7 DECADES AGO. THEY SHOULD BE ABOUT THAT AGE NOW! I REMEMBER HEARING STORIES WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL ABOUT KUNTA AND CHICKEN GEORGE RUNNING DOWN THE STREETS OF BLACK PINE, IT NEVER DARNED ON ME WHO THEY WERE TALKINING ABOUT UNTIL I GOT OLDER AND REALIZE IT WAS DONNIE AND JIMMIE THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT.I AM SO GLAD I CAN JOKE WITH YOU GUYS. I BE LAUGHING SO HARD AT MYSELF SOMETIMES I CAN HARDLY TYPE.THIS IS REALLY A TRUE BLESSING FOR ME. BELIEVE IT OR NOT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAD LAUGHED SO HARD IN AT LEAST 20 YEARS. IT HAS BEEN IN ME BUT I HAD NO REASON TO LET IT OUT NOW I FEEL LIKE MRS SOPHIA FROM THE COLOR PURPLE I KNOW HOW SHE FELT WHEN SHE WAS AT THE TABLE EATING AND START LAUGHING.I HAVE MY MOM LAUGHING AT THE THINGS WE SHARE ESPECIALLY THE PICTURES. I NOW HAVE A NEW ATTITUDE!ASK SYLVIA! SHE'LL TELL YOU. WE ALL HAVE GONE THROUGH SOMETHING IN OUR LIVES. AND IT'S SO GOOD FOR US TO STILL STICK TOGETHER AND BE THERE FOR ONE ANOTHER. LET'S ALL TRY TO POST SOMETHING FUNNY ON THE FORUM AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK TO HELP LIFT SOMEONE WHO MIGHT HAVE HAD A ROUGH DAY WEEK, OR WHATEVER.I HAVE PLENTY TO LAST UNTIL THE REUNION . SO UNTIL I ADD WILLARD DUDLEY TO THE LIST BE BREEZY

Sylvia Jones (Martin) (1973)

Sandra, go easy on Donnie, the pictures were awesome.

Donnie, the pictures were so much fun to look at. I even recognize a few people(smile). I can hardly wait for you to post the next set. Watch out classmates it could be you the next time he goes into his old school pictures(smile).

James Matthews, the picture of the 144 teachers was something else even though I was only able to identify one teacher( Ms. Peggy Rice Johnson)smile. Also, the documents from Fletcher( the band, football team, cheerleaders and the graduation list). My daughter had a fun time looking at the cheers.

Okay Willard, you have got to bring out more of the old school pictures because Donnie is giving you some competition.(smile). Let's see who has the most!

Alright, guys , keep the pictures coming!

I thought about it! If your mother is still living go tell her how much you love her. If she's not look back and remember the blessings, then tell God Thank You. Lets all put a picture of our mothers of the site then say something about her you remember back in the day. Maybe the day you got home after the street lights had already came on. You know what I am talking about.
Just loving this.

We would like to welcome the class of "76" It has been a joy connecting with old friends and classmates not seen or heard of since graduation. I hope that you cherish this opportunity as much as the existing classes and make the most out of this historic adventure. Many of you are already connected in some form or fashion. So don't be bashful, come right on in and keep your eye on the class of "71" to see just how its done.... I could'nt resist that last line.........

Do you have a classmate that is your hero? Do you have a classmate that has acheived a high position, made a great accomplishment, gotten off of drugs or done anything that you think is significant? If you do, let us hear about it.

My hero is James Gamble. Jimmy was gaining weight faster than people are losing jobs these days. he was big, I mean big. Just kidding, no ofense my friend. But Jimmy had gained a lot of weight. He decided, with the help if his wife Gail, to do something about it. And he did. he decided to eat right and exercise. I'm sure it was hard, but his efforts have paid a great reward. Jimmy has slimmed down losing 70 pounds and looks great. more than that, his cholestrol should be down and i'm sure, so is his blood pressure. The best part about it is that because of his life changing actions, we, his wife, family and friends will hopefully have him around a lot longer. Now, if i could lose 20. My hero !

Man the weight of the "Class of 70" is really getting heavy. Seems the old timers are all asleep in front of the TV with the remote in one hand and a glass of V-8 in the other. Seems they have no computers, no love for excitement and the desire to let someone know they have gotten old and flabby has scared them away from the website. Don't let me start digging up pictures! If anyone know of any where about of the Class of 1970 please send me the information I will see to it myself to hunt them down.

My Hero....Willard Dudley, as a child he was a troublesome young man. Always getting into stuff. Tearing up everything that got in his way, his stuff, your stuff anybody stuff. Left handed he seem to always be going the wrong direction (smile). Threaten by older guys he decided to take actions. Begin defensive techniques, started playing music to attract girls and excelled in both. Now he is a prominent successful adult with ideas of making life better for others. He takes pride in what he starts and has taken the initiative to make this reunion a total success. My New Hero, WILLARD DUDLEY!!!

Willard, when the Class of 1973 was in the 9th grade(1970). we all looked up to and admired James Matthews. We thought he was the coolest and smartest guy at Fletcher. We used to always say he would grow up to be a doctor, lawyer, or a famous politicians( maybe even be President of the United States), He was so nice and he always spoke to us and made us feel important , even though we were just silly little freshman at the time. He seemed to get along well with all classmates black or white. He was always well spoken , well dressed, and we thought he had the afro to top all afros back in the day.

MY HERO'S AND SHE'ROS ARE THE WHARTONS! I HAVE REALLY BEEN INSPIRED BY THEIR SITE. YES WILLARD I AM STILL AFRAID OF YOU BUT BY THE TIME I FINISH THIS MESSAGE I WANT BE AND I WILL FIND SOMETHING ON YOU, JUST LIKE I AM LOOKING HARD FOR SOMETHING ON JIMMIE AND DONNIE. JUST FOR THE KIDS: Thanks go out to Pat Long (Cynthia Turner and Isaac Green's sister) and her son Hugh Wiggins, owner of "The Party Palace" for a "Bouncer" for the kids at the Donner park pic nic. The kid's can come and bounce their hearts away in a fun and safe environment while the adults catch up on old times. Also available, for a small fee, will be cotton candy and snow cones. Note: The "Bouncer" is off limits to adults.
