Wolfson Class of 1969
55th Reunion Details Q&A

In preparation for planning this reunion, we surveyed and talked to fellow classmates. In general, classmates are in favor of having a more casual and informal gathering for the 55th Reunion. Your wish is our command!

  1. Where and when is the reunion?
    Saturday, April 27th, 2024, 4:30pm – 9:30pm
    Mandarin Community Club
12447 Mandarin Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32223

  2. What is the price to attend the reunion?
The price per person to attend the reunion is a very low $25 per person. We have been able to keep the price low thanks to the generosity of fellow classmates who are pitching in to defray expenses. If you want to help in this way, please see “How do I donate?” below.

  3. What should I wear? How casual is it?
This is a very casual reunion. You can wear whatever you are comfortable in and being seen in; khakis, jeans, shorts, whatever. Just wear something, we don't need to see that!

  4. Will there be dinner? What type of food?
We will have a simple BBQ buffet catered by Willie Jewell’s Old School BBQ. It will not be an orderly formal sit-down dinner. Rather, you can eat when you want from 6:00 to 8:00. There will be several meat choices (pork, turkey, chicken) as well as vegetable options.

  5. What type of drinks are included?  Cash bar?
Included will be iced tea, Willie Jewell’s famous grape lemonade, and water. There will be no cash bar. However, you may bring your own cooler, alcohol, mixers, beer, wine, whatever you would like. We will have cups and ice, but you are welcome to bring your own as well.

  6. Will there be music or entertainment?
Overwhelmingly, classmates said to keep the music volume low so people could talk and reminisce. We will have recorded music from our high school days playing but it won’t be too loud. All of you will be the main entertainment for the evening.

  7. Will we be donating to the Leaders of The Pack Scholarship Fund again?
Yes! Last time we raised $10,000 and we were able to grant four $2,500 scholarships to deserving 2019 Wolfson graduates. We would like to do the same for the Class of 2024! There is more information on our website.

  8. What can I do to help?
    - Come to the reunion!
    - Remind fellow classmates about the reunion
    - Donate to the Reunion Fund to help with reunion expenses (venue, food, decorations, etc.)
    - Donate to the Leaders of The Pack Scholarship Fund

  9. How do I donate?
First, if you choose to donate, thank you!
All donations are confidential and scholarship donations are tax deductible.
There are several ways to donate…

    1. When you register for the reunion
There are options for donating to both the Reunion Fund and the Leaders of The Pack Scholarship Fund. This method costs the scholarship fund (not you personally) a 5.9% processing fee. To help us avoid the fee, particularly on large donations, you can use the following other donation methods.
