Sherry Lynn Mullins, age 63, of Payne Gap, Kentucky passed away on Thursday July 9, 2020 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY.  She was born on January 8, 1957 in Whitesburg, KY to Palmer and Jeanette DePriest Bentley.  Sherry retired after 27 years of working for the local bank.  She was a member of the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church for many years where she enjoyed attending and singing in the choir.  She was member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi.  She was an avid UK fan and was a Harley Davidson enthusiast.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Mullins and her infant son, Scott Andrew Mullins.

Sherry is survived by her two brothers, Greg Bentley of Payne Gap, Kentucky, Keith Bentley of Payne Gap, KY; a special sister, Lynn Bentley of Payne Gap, KY; three nieces, Leslie Bentley, Payne Gap, KY, Pamela Mullins, N.C, and Keiley Bentley, Payne Gap, KY; two nephews, Kole Bentley, Payne Gap, KY and Klint Bentley also of Payne Gap; two great nieces, Courtney Mullins of Neon, KY, Laikyn Bentley of Richmond KY; a great nephew, Luke Bentley of Dorton, KY and a host of other relatives and friends.  Sherry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Sherry were held at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 with Pastor Greg Polly officiating.  Interment was in the Bentley Cemetery at Payne Gap, KY.  Funeral arrangements were cared for by Carty Funeral Homes, Jenkins, KY.
