Cora Lea Gaither, age 74, passed away on August 20, 2016. She was born on September 22, 1941 to Russell and Juanita Fleming in Hylton, Kentucky. She was raised in Jenkins, Kentucky. She graduated from Jenkins High School in 1959 and attended Morehead State University in Kentucky. She was employed as the Practice Administrator for the Coastal Bend Women's Center over the past 18 years and will be remembered for her loyalty, dedication and service to the practice.
Cora Lea Gaither is preceded in death by her son, Michael Rabon, parents, Russell/Juanita Fleming, Lester/Cora Abel, Sisters Anita Fleming Brown, Shirley Fleming Owens and brother, George Fleming. Cora Lea Gaither is survived by brothers, William Fleming, Anthony "Tony" Abel, sisters, Betty Fleming-Ostberg, Alice Fleming Anderson, Libby Fleming Edwards and Deana Fleming. Cora Lea Gaither had a love for all her dogs and compassion for all dogs needing a good family and home. In Lieu of flower arrangements, the family is asking for donations to Peewee's Pet Adoption in Corpus Christi, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
