Dan Sexton, age 75, of St. Johns, Florida, formerly of Johnson County, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 in St. Johns, Florida.

Dan was born November 27, 1947 in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late Blaine Sexton and Goldie Elkins Sexton.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Sexton, Paul Sexton, and Denver Sexton, and two sisters, Shirley Timblin and Nadine Sexton.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sexton of St. Johns, Florida, two daughters, Twylla Carol Brown of Louisiana, and Alyssa Lynn Hawkins of Atlanta, Georgia, one son, Cameron Sexton of Delaware, Ohio, two brothers, Harold Truman Sexton of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Larry Neal Sexton of Jacksonville, Florida, three grandchildren, Jonathan Brown, Drew Sexton, and Cassandra Sexton.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Tim Salyers officiating.  Burial will follow at the Patty Flat Cemetery, Flat Gap, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
