Elizabeth Fletcher, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of those who cherished her.
Elizabeth was born on February 13th, 1943, in Jenkins, Ky., to Stanley and Helen Krzak. She was the beloved wife of Gary Fletcher for over 50 years and a devoted daughter, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her loving siblings, Wilma, Eleanor, Stanley, and Joe,
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Johnson (Doug); her brother, John Krzak (Cathy); and 22 nieces and nephews. Family meant everything to Elizabeth.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Elizabeth was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Richmond, Va. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided the kindness, compassion, and generosity she extended to others.
Elizabeth found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She had a gift of quilting and crocheting. She also adored her cats, Whiskers and Noel, who brought her comfort and companionship over the years.
Those who knew her will remember Elizabeth's gentle spirit, caring heart, quiet strength, and her steadfast devotion to both God and her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Bliley's, Staples Mill Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, followed by entombment at Greenwood Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.
