Freddy H. Johnson - Class Of 1979 VIEW PROFILE

Freddy Harold Johnson, 60, of McRoberts passed from this life into eternal life on Thursday, September 30th , 2021, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg.

Freddy was born on May 16th , 1961, In Fleming, Kentucky, the son of James Hillard and Emily (Anderson) Johnson.

Freddy worked several years within the coal industry before becoming employed with the state of Kentucky as a Mine and Surface Reclamation Inspector, where he performed the duties of the role for 20+ years.

His true focus and passion, however, was derived from his love of the Lord. Freddy was the pastor of the Fleming-Neon Church of God for 11 years and was truly dedicated to his congregation and the people of his community. He shared and grew is ministry with his wife, Rhonda, and together, they were able to share God’s Word in their pursuit to bring everyone closer in their walk with God.

He enjoyed camping with his family, fishing, golfing, and watching his University of Kentucky Wildcats. Above all else, he loved playing with and spoiling his grandchildren.

Freddy is survived by his wife of 39 years (June 11, 1982) Rhonda (Collins) Johnson; his children, Ryne (Brittany P) and Jeramy (Brittany L) Johnson of McRoberts,KY; his grandchildren, Landon, Aubrey, Asher, Ember and Kash Johnson; his siblings, James (Celeste) Johnson of McRoberts KY, Carlos (Donna) Johnson of Dandridge, TN, Willene (Ova) Land of Flemingsburg, KY, Anita Meadors of McRoberts, KY, Vickie (Danny) Quillen of Whitaker, KY, Dennis Johnson of Riceville, TN, Roy (Debra) Johnson of McRoberts, KY, and Phillip (Marjorie) Johnson of McRoberts, KY; his in-laws, Clifford “Coopie” and Betty Collins of McRoberts, KY; and a host of well-loved relatives and friends.

Freddy was preceded in death by his parents, James Hillard and Emily (Anderson) Johnson of McRoberts, KY; his paternal grandparents, Joel and Mary-Jane Johnson; and his maternal grandparents, Cullen and Hattie Anderson.

Funeral services will be 7:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday at the Fleming Neon Church of God with Pastor Danny Hurst, Pastor Danny Quillen, and Rodney Wright officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Fleming Neon Church of God.
