Betty Jo Welch - Class Of 1958 VIEW PROFILE

OBITUARY:
Betty Jo Welch, 71, of Bowling Green, died at 7:40 a.m. June 21, 2011, at a Bowling Green nursing home. The Scottsville native was born Oct. 9, 1939. She was a piano and organ teacher and a former public school teacher. She loved to play the piano, do needlepoint and read. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was the beloved organist for more than 20 years at Greenwood Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Sterling Richey Welch and Estelle Tabor Welch. Memorial service is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Baptist Church. Cremation was chosen. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Greenwood Baptist Church, 5165 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104-7904. Survivors include a brother, Rodney Welch and his wife, Rebecca, of Lexington; an aunt, Elsie Coots of Scottsville; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Welch and her husband, Scott Rousey, Kathleen Sewell and her husband, Philip, and Aaron Welch, all of Lexington; and two cousins, Cheryl Berry and her husband, Steve, of Greenville, and Judson Coots of Scottsville
