Jerry Webb - Class Of 1969

Jerry Neal Webb, age 61, of Cromona, Kentucky, passed away Friday November 16, 2012, at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. He was born on August 21, 1950, at Jenkins, Kentucky, and was a lifelong resident of Letcher County, Kentucky. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Apex Mining Company. Jerry was of the Freewill Baptist faith, and attended the Haymond Freewill Baptist Church.

   He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Webb, and two infant daughters.

   He is survived by his wife, Rosetta Cook Webb, of Cromona, Kentucky; a daughter, Jerri Lynn Dugan, of Dunham, Kentucky; his mother, Allie Evenoff Webb, Wise, Virginia; granddaughter, Makayla Lynn Dugan; three sisters, Sandy Webb, Columbia, South Carolina, Teresa Webb, Atlanta, Georgia, and Hazel Boone, Columbia, South Carolina; six brothers, Jimmy Webb, Wise, Virginia, Joel “Tuffy” Webb, Blackey, Kentucky, Tommy Webb, Richmond, Kentucky, David Webb, Pound, Virginia, and Steven Webb, of Lexington, Kentucky; two step-children, Jim Forester and Jamie Ann Brown, both of Pennsylvania; step-grandchildren, Megan Brown, Natalee Brown, and Whitney Brown; a step-great-granddaughter, Leah Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

   Visitation will be on Monday from 6-9 pm at the Haymond Freewill Baptist Church, and also anytime Tuesday at the church. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the church, with rev. James “Tweet” Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow at the Baker Cemetery, Payne Gap, KY.
