Carol Sue McCoy (Gray) - Class Of 1956

 

Carol Sue McCoy Gray, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Baptist Health- Lexington. She was the widow of Clarence Gray.

Mrs. Gray was born on November 14, 1937 in Jenkins, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Fletcher and Ruby Flannery McCoy, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a retired Medical Records Administrator. Mrs. Gray was a member of First Baptist Church of Richmond where she was involved with many different ministries, and was active in both the Cats of the Red Hats of Richmond and the Bluegrass Red Hats Society of Lexington.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Isabella Marie Arthur, and a sister, Helen Davidson.

Survivors include: one son, Jeff Gray (Tina), of Winchester; two daughters, Jeannie Gray Arthur, of Richmond, and Lisa Gray Rearden (Andy), of Ashland; four grandchildren, Courtney Layne Rader, Cameron Ross Arthur, Connor Ashton Gray, and Shayla Arthur Roberts; one great-granddaughter, Addison Marie Rader; and one nephew, Phillip Davidson, of Sparta, NC.

Funeral services for Carol Gray will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Richmond, with Rev. Sam Newman and Rev. Tim Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Services will also be conducted at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland, KY, at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home.
