Janice Goff Adams, age 78, of Jenkins, Kentucky, passed away on October 27, 2015 at Mountain View Medical Center, Norton, Virginia.  She was born on July 16, 1937 at Burdine, Kentucky and was a lifelong resident of Letcher County, Kentucky.  Janice worked for numerous years as a store clerk.  She took great delight in baking for her family and friends and collected cookbooks.  Janice was an avid reader, which she took great pleasure in.  She greatly enjoyed playing card games with her family and friends.  Janice was of the Christian Faith.

   She was a daughter of the late Garfield Goff and Mary Belle Mullins Goff.  Janice was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Arville Goff, James Goff, Ovie Gene Goff and Ray Goff.

   She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Adams, of Jenkins, Kentucky; a son, Jeffrey Adams, of Abingdon, Virginia; a sister, Annie Goff, of Merritt Island, Florida; and a host of other family and friends.

   Visitation will be held on Thursday October 29, 2015 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Carty Funeral Home Polly & Craft Chapel, Jenkins, Kentucky.  Funeral services will be held on Friday October 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with family members officiating.  Interment will follow at Baker Cemetery, Payne Gap, Kentucky.
