Bruce B. Lucas Sr., age 70, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Bruce was born on June 26, 1945 to his parents the late James Lucas and Lillie Boggs Lucas. He was the husband of the late Elsie Green Lucas, a coal miner, member of the Masonic Lodge, and he also was a member of People's Fundamental Baptist Church at Dunham, Ky.
Along with his wife and parents, Bruce was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Ray Lucas.
Bruce is survived by one son, Bruce Lucas Jr., one daughter, Lisa (Brian) Bentley, three grandsons, Isaac Lucas, Weston Lucas, Jacob Bentley, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Van Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucas & Baker Cemetery at Shelby Gap.
