Loretta Anderson, 71, of Capon Bridge, WV, died on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Anderson was born on May 13, 1945 in McRoberts, KY, a daughter of the late Brit and Gladys Looney Potter. She worked as the Vice President of Sumner Tariff Service in Washington, DC. Loretta was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Whitacre, VA. She loved being with her family and church family.

Mrs. Anderson married Richard H. Anderson on December 19, 1964 in Washington D.C. Mr. Anderson died on January 13, 2011.

Surviving are three sisters: Gale Aloupis and Audrey Catterton both of Waldorf, MD; Elizabeth Mackey of Indiana; a half-brother: Brit C. Potter and a half-sister: Shirley Potter Cable both of Denton, KY and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother Benjamin Potter.

Funeral service will be held at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Officiating will be Rev. George Reed. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Johnson Cemetery in McRoberts, KY on Saturday, September 24th at 1:00 PM.
