Worley Joe Hodges, 80, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Salisbury, NC. He was born on March 6, 1938 in Jenkins, KY, to the late Worley and Tiva Patrell Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a veteran serving in the US Army and was a retired mining clerk with Bethlehem Steel. Before his illness he enjoyed collecting coins and had a strong Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Molly Sturgill; and brothers, Frank Hodges and Victor Hodges. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Blevins Hodges; daughter, Kimberly Hodges Goodrum and husband, David; sisters, Fanchion Collins, Rhonda Carty; and grandchildren, Jared and Heather Goodrum.
