Oma Evelyn Pennell, age 74, of Jenkins, Kentucky, passed away on September 1, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born on January 17, 1948 in Jenkins to the late Eugene and Allene Haynes Adkins.  Oma was of the Christian faith and attended the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church, Burdine, Kentucky.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, whom she loved so dearly.

In addition to her parents, Oma was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Phillip Davidson and Jerry Lucas.

Oma is survived by her loving husband of several years, Robert Pennell, Jenkins, Kentucky; four sons, Steven (Melanie) Pennell, Ocala, Florida, Robert (Jaclyn) Pennell, Frankfort, Kentucky, Jason (Bridget) Pennell, Georgetown, Kentucky and Jonathan Pennell, Jenkins, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Cameron, Caitlyn, Colton and Bryson; two sisters, Mickey Davidson, Jenkins, Kentucky and Patricia Lucas, Mooresburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Sammy (Lisa) Adkins and Timmy (Lois) Adkins, Morristown, Tennessee along with a host of other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.
