Margaret Hall (Faske) - Class Of 1959

On the evening of January 4, 2025, Margaret Jean (Hall) Faske passed peacefully into the waiting arms of Our Lord, after a long illness. Margaret was at home, surrounded by her family, including her husband of over sixty-one years, Raymond "Chub" Faske, and her daughters, Jennifer and Julie, niece Lisa (Hall) Creeden, and close friends Eddie and Judy. She would have been 84 on the 26th of this month.
Like the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31, Margaret had "a price above rubies". She was a supportive, loving wife, sharing her husband's interests, helping him to build a successful business, and together raising three wonderful children, experiencing the joy of beloved grandchildren, and welcoming delightful great grandchildren. She was a dedicated mother, giving her children a happy home, and all the encouragement and support they needed to pursue their own interests and activities. Margaret was also an active member of her community and church. She spent a number of years, after her children were adults, teaching at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran preschool.
In her younger years, Margaret enjoyed a degree of local celebrity as a teenager in eastern Kentucky, performing with her brother regularly on local radio as "Johnny & Margaret", and the duo appeared several times on the Grand Ole Opry, meeting such country stars as Hank Snow, Ernest Tubb, Marty Robbins, and Brenda Lee. Margaret walked away from an opportunity to pursue a musical career, choosing instead to pursue a career as a legal secretary, and then devoting herself to her family, but she continued to play the autoharp and to sing at church and family gatherings.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Creighton and Tessabella (Graham) Hall, and her only son, Anthony Ray Faske. She is survived by her husband Chub, her daughters Jennifer and Julie, three grandchildren Collin (and wife Tiffany), Taylor (and wife Lucy), and Creighton, as well as great grandchildren Henry, Liam, and Bella. She is also survived by her siblings, sisters Rayna Jo Roberts and Carol Highstone, and brother John Hall.
The Faske family would like to give special thanks to Amedisys Healthcare-at-Home Services, who contributed greatly to the care and well-being of Margaret in her final years.
A Celebration of Margaret's life will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (5231 SR. 62. Georgetown, Indiana) on Saturday, January 11th, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM - 2:00PM, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00PM.
Donations in Margaret's name may be made to the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Preschool (5231 State Road 62. Georgetown, Indiana 47122).
