Wendell Wayne Mullins, 73 years of age of Jenkins, went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2025. He was born on May 29, 1952, to the late Cody Thomas and Lula Mae Youngblood Mullins. He was a surface miner for many years. He liked to work on and repair his own cars and trucks. Wendell enjoyed both deer and rabbit hunting and gardening. He spent a few years building a cabin at Cave Run. Mostly loved the Lord and attending church. And lastly, he had a little black poodle named Elsa that was his constant companion. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by three daughters, Brandy Nicole Mullins (1980), Phyllis Ann Mullins (1997), Melinda Kaye Mullins Brown (2023); granddaughter, Taylor Erin Mullins(1999); brothers, Dairl Mullins, Rodger Mullins, Johnny Mullins; sisters, Shirlene Wood, Sheila Marie Adams; stepmother, Leanza Hall Mullins. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Sharon “Sherry” Wright Mullins; son, Wendell “Wayne” Mullins Jr and Chrissy; stepson, Zack; two step daughters, Summer and Traistine; grandson, Preston Gage and Hayley Mullins and great-grandchildren, Eli and Londyn; granddaughters, Caitlyn Brown and Josh Haddix, and great-grandson, Levi, Tori (Jordan) Ridener and great- grandsons, Bo and Boone, Brittany Mullins and Brittney Hilliards and great-grandson, Callan, Kayleigh Mullins and great-grandson, Easton; brother, Bobby (Linda) Mullins; sister, Josephine Crace; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 11:00AM at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Donnie Mullins officiating.
