Henry Snyder High School
Class Of 1971

July 2013

Dear Classmates,

"A Happy and Safe

4th of July to All!"

We are happy to report that our "Class of '71 60th Birthday Celebration" down the Jersey shore on Saturday, June 29, was another fun-filled event as 16 classmates reunited for this milestone occasion.

Classmates, spouses and guests traveled to our home state from as far as the United Kingdom (Judi Scheideberg Saunders), Florida (Jerry Beer), Illinois (Lynn Hollenberg Ross & Curtis Ross), Oregon (Karen Abrams) and Pennsylvania (Paulette Steinberg Okun and Jay Okun), while others drove in from all parts of Jersey (Debra Hahn Alvarez, Roseann Tuvel Bassin, John & Linda Davis, Kathy Brunet Eagan (guest of Karen A.), Wendy Canter Kaplan, Harry Lufft, Anne Koles Michals, Fran Paterno Ragozine and Steve Rubin).

We feasted on a sumptuous dinner together at Charlie's Ocean Grill in Long Branch, and blew out a lot of birthday candles on our class cake.  A couple of our alums celebrated their milestone birthdays during the weekend, Lynn Hollenberg Ross and Steve Rubin, and so our group gleefully broke out into a Happy Birthday tune together to help them acknowledge this once-in-a-lifetime event.

It was a beautiful summer evening down the shore, and several alums also had the opportunity to "hang out" together for a wonderful weekend of activities on the boardwalk, at the beach, and just catching up from our 40th reunion in 2011.

A fun time was had by all, and it goes without saying that no matter how many years have passed since graduation, and no matter how many miles separate us in between these milestone events, there is still a special bond that connects us to one another.

We are currently waiting for our class photographers to forward photos of this event soon, so be sure to stay tuned and check back to the web site again shortly.

In the meantime, enjoy the 4th and keep cool!

"Happy Birthday" to all of our classmates below. . .

    "Go Snyder Tigers!!"

Sincerely,

The Snyder 1971 Alumni Association
