This is can be an excellent method of obtaining referrals for contractors who have a proven track record within the community.   Post what you need done and maybe someone can suggest somebody good.  The more referrals you get for a single contractor increases the odds of  them actually being good.  If you're not sure and would like to post the name of the contractor, you can solicit information on experiences others may have had with them.
