JoAnne Bockelman (Principal)

Great Woman, skilled administrator. JoAnn lead the Arts Department at the Branson School after leaving Loretto and was lauded by her colleagues as "adding immeasurably to the role of the arts for students and our school." She is clearly missed by all who knew her.

I would have dropped out of school if it were not for JoAnne Bockelman. She took me under her wing. I will always remember her! Jack Bratt

My parents still have some of the paintings I did in art class. She was wonderful. Always supportive, even though I sucked in art! Thank You.

JoAnne Bockelman was one of Loretto's greatest assets. Her wit and creativity along with her caring attitude encouraged me to express my creativity. I learned to embrace my uniqueness. I've often thought of her throughout the years and was saddened to learn of her passing. She let her light shine unashamedly and her tenacity motivated me to try new things and not be afraid of the results. A phenomenal woman!

Mrs. Bockelman was my art teacher in the early 70's. She and Sister Jeanne had us doing all kinds of creative, modern type art. I remember how enthusiastic she was about whatever project we were working on. I am grateful for her encouragement.
