Sandy was a great friend who lived down the street on Highland. We played together almost everyday as kids. I remember she got a new bike and we were riding it in my driveway which was gravel at the time. I fell and hurt my knee and we hated to tell anyone becuase no one was supposed to ride her new bike except Sandy.
Sandie (Sandra as she preferred later in life) was my best friend. We kept in touch throughout the years. I last saw her about a year ago. I miss her very much.
Ok, this may sound stupid, but, Sandy and I were walking to school one day and I wrapped my arms around a tree and spouted '"I think there'll never be a poem as lovely as a tree" and she almost fell down laughing. I will always remember her fondly.
