After graduating high school, I worked as a draftsman in various towns in the fox valley of Wisconsin when there was an opportunity to feed Cuban refugees at Fort McCoy in Sparta, WI. While working for a company that made water treatment equipment, I obtained a certificate in HVAC from MSOE, was a part of a study group of a pastoral letter on peace and the economy at the cathedral parish of Milwaukee. During a study abroad semester at the Davis center for peace studies at Hebrew University in Jerusalem had an internship with United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for the Palestinian refugees. After receiving Bachelor's majoring in international relations was a novice with Catholic missionary group in Italy working with eastern European refugees the year the Berlin wall came down. During graduate school, was allowed to intern in New York at the UN in Office of Public Information for non-governmental organizations (NGO) while rehabbing a house from the Sisters of Charity in Harlem with the Christian Brothers.

Since completing master's, I married a fine woman with six children and have been working since then to support and raise a family while welcoming five grandchildren into our life. We marshalled our resources both selling our houses to begin with a home together. When I married Emily, we both changed our names; it is 'funn' to be with someone you love. The last twenty years of family life have developed my capacity to self-giving, love and service.

My business experience in primarily the finance, and insurance sectors builds upon administrative work for international and non-profit organizations. With an engineering background, applied liberal arts education and computer literacy, I plan on developing balanced skills and flexibility to meet the changing needs life will bring in the next decades. . . . .
