Sup Everyone. First of all Jason Sorry for not being able to get back at you. But to answer your question if no one did. I didn't get with anyone. shoot it was hard to find anyone but then again with it being the holidays I was not expecting to much because of people visiting family and so forth. I may be coming back to Ga. before I head over seas in which I do not know if it will be Iraq or Afghanistan. But as soon as i Know I will post it here. I do know this much, it will be during the later parts of the summer.

I am adding more pics up here in the next few days. let me know what you all think. To all of the Class of 88 and their families... Happy New Yr and God Bless you all.

Dona Shields (Sabine) It has been a long time since I signed on, and I am so glad that everyone is keeping in touch with each other! My holidays were grand and I hope that everyone's holidays were equally as great. Have a wonderful New Year! Stay safe, happy and healthy.

Well, I was channel surfing last night and came across a band called "Common Ground" playing some live music and there was Craig Wallin jamming on the drums. You did well, Craig, but I can tell you still have some Heavy Metal left in you. I'll give you $100 if you rip into an obscene drum solo on live television the next time you play. I'll only pay up if the rest of the band gets visibly upset. :)

Hey Jake the next time I'm on T.V. I may have to give that a try.I found out last night we are playing the big reunion this September if all goes well.I will know more later.I'll try to talk them into a few metal tunes.I think that would be awesome.We are playing T-Bones in Chattanooga Jan.30 from 10:00 to 1:30.It's on a Friday night if any one wants to come by.We would sure like to see you.

Happy New Year everyone! Thanks to Dona I now am set up to get back on this site since I forgot my previous login information. I blame the pregnancy!!

I finally had my baby December 12, yay! I posted up a few pictures of the family. I'm so glad NOT to be pregnant anymore. I much prefer having him in my arms. Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes. We both are doing well and I love being a mom. :)

Hey Eric the next time we are playing T-Bones is April 10.at 10:00.We'll be at the Saddle Club in Summerville on March 14.We start playing at 9:00 and play till 12:00.We have a good time down there.You can check out the band's my space page and hear a few songs too.myspace.com/mycommongroundband.I hope we get to play in LaFayette too this summer.I want to play at the rec on the Fourth of July.I have never got to do that and I always wanted to.I hope things are going good for you.Holler at me some time.

Sup mates.. long time.. Well just to give everyone and update on what is going on in my life. But before i go further. Congrats Toni on your lil one and God Bless ya and your family. Craig W. Glad to see you doin yo thang. you to Mr. Tallent. Happy B-day to you Margaret.
K. Well I have been really busy this last few months helping the 5th Stryker Brigade prepare for the next deployment. As of today I am scheduled to leave to go to Afghanistan between June-July timeframe for 18 mos. I am going to try to make it back home before i go but for all of you whom have been in the military.. you know they change their minds about scheduled dates like the wind. At first it was August and then the dates were april(which is crazy) since the stryker brigade I support is still here in the majave(where i am currently at). So as of today it is between june-july as i explained.

I will be putting up some pics of me and my guys i work with and some of our soldiers whom are defending our country. so stay tuned. probably will happen once i get back to lakewood so i will have time to do it. As it is late in the A.M. here and i just got out of the field today. So i have like probably 2 more weeks here before heading back to lakewood.

I have a new number and will post it as well as i had to drop t-mobil as it was not doing to job with the reception. especially here in the majave. So i got Verizon. Well guess i better go so i can get in the bed. early day in a lil bit. God Bless you all and talk to you all laters....

I just thought I would post some dates my band has coming up.We'll be at T-Bones in Chattanooga this Friday night from 10:00pm till 1:30 am.Saturday night we will be at the Chattooga County Saddle Club in Summerville from 9:00pm to 12:00am if any one would like to come hear us play.We are also going to be at Down Home Days in Chickamauga on May 2 and in Ringgold for 1890's Days on May 23rd.Stop by and say Hi if you want to.

Hey Christy,

There are about 50 people from the class of 88 on Facebook now. Many of us keep in touch that way. It's also easy to see what's going on with people from surrounding classes as well. Some of us even have several photo albums, blogs, etc, on there. You should check it out if you get the chance.

You are doing better than I am then! I hope you are doing well and enjoying having crested your mid-forties :) I have had a potential reunion on my mind for a while and know that we need to start planning NOW if we are going to pull it off in 2018. I am sure that virtually everyone in the free world posts on FB, tweets, or has some other mode of communicating through social media. I would be the hold out in that arena! However, I do have access through Doug's account and hope that FB will allow us to reach even more people than in the past as we begin the planning stages. What are your thoughts on trying to assemble a planning team? Would you be willing to serve on that team? Let's put our thoughts together and see if we can get the proverbial ball rolling!!

I have to admit, I don't mind being in my forties one bit. Life is good! :)

I think a planning team is a great idea, and yes, I would be happy to help in any capacity. As far as others, Mitzi (Grant) and Dona (Shields) helped last time, so we could start by asking them. Also, we have a LaFayette High Class of 1988 page on Facebook with about 60 classmates in it. I'll post there and see if anyone else would like to get involved. Starting early is a great idea. Dates seemingly far off in the future have a habit of sneaking up on you quickly!

Let me know your thoughts. I'll see what I can find out on FB.

If you can post to FB, that would be a great place to start. I am sure Donna and Mitzi are on FB and will respond. I suppose that at some point I will have to give in to social media and join as well ... I will work on that this week as Doug has a FB page that I think I can use to access. Thanks so much for jumpstarting the process!! You are so right about dates sneaking up!!

I just posted on the Facebook page, so we'll see who responds. I know you probably don't have much time but I would indeed recommend getting your own FB page, even if for no other reason than to plan the reunion. It's easy and best of all, free! :)
