Hi! I would love to go to the game to visit with my friends from school, but Trion has a home game that night as well. Not to mention,it will be my daughters 17th birthday and since she is a cheerlearder for Trion, I feel I need to be there! I do look forward to seeing you all on Saturday the 18th!!! I hope both teams win and we are all ready to talk. I do remember we all yelled alot,I still do, at the football games!!! See you all soon, Christina Hurley

Very good job on the site. I can't believe we do not have more people participating. I will try to make the reunion and the game but my schedule is sometimes hard to predict. I hope to see everyone there.

Where is everybody??? For such a small class, from such a small town, you'd think more of us would have posted profiles! If you guys have contact with someone who has not posted, get on their case! I've started nagging Berry Carroll already!

Believe it or not, we had the largest class graduate in our area that year--103. At least, that is what the Messenger reported--I can still see the headline in my mind like I just read it. I think Gordon Lee came in second with 83. Anyway, I have emailed and phoned everyone that I know how to reach. I even tried to locate people online with search engines and people locators--and have had limited success. So far, it really has been word of mouth. I've gotten more success seeing people in the street and telling them about the site and reunion than anything else. I haven't had any luck with Mr. Carroll. I know there will be classmates who choose to stay away and that is fine--it's a shame but it's fine too, you know?

I will do my best on this end. just like you said Donna, i have had no luck at all either. But i see Mr. Carroll has put his name in the hat just like Kota and Randy Southern. Well i am headed out to a training exercise with the military here in Ft. lewis for a little over ten days. Hmmm I will still be working on whom i can contact. I found Craig Ramsey on Myspace but have had no luck in getting a response from him at all. Anyway you all take care and God Bless. See you laterz.

My wife and I are definitely down for the 80's show at Rhythm & Brews on Friday night. Good idea, Shannon! I'm really glad several of my old friends are going to make it. If anyone wants to do something more, like on Saturday during the day, please let me know. Maybe we can organize something. Downtown Chattanooga is very nice this time of year. Perhaps we can hang out at Coolidge park or somewhere else the whole family can enjoy.

I will check on getting something like a banner to put up somewhere in town with info on it. Maybe that will help some people see it in the next few weeks. Anyone know where they get those banners for birthdays and such? It looks like I will be off on Friday and Saturday so as long as nothing changes I should make it.

Classmates,
Please keep Jackie Denny and her family in your prayers, her mom Gail Denny passed away last night. I know this was unexpected for the family. She was a precious person!!!

How did all of you get to be so old? I mean seriously I'm not 38 am I?

09/28/08 01:31 PM #27

Margaret Shelton (Forester)

Yes Berry...we're all 38 (or so) but old? I don't know what you're talking about!

09/29/08 08:08 AM #28

Dona Shields (Sabine)

Yes, Margaret, that's right! Berry, don't talk about being old--I noticed that I'm 7 Months older than you! You are practically still a baby! Has your voice changed yet?

09/29/08 10:27 PM #29

Berry Carroll

voice change? boys' voices change?

09/30/08 08:53 AM #30

Dona Shields (Sabine)

I was just telling Berry that he needed some facial hair. He looks like such a baby face!

ooooohhh...I love goatees! Berry, you would look great with one of those! My husband has one and I love it. He just doesn't look right without one. But have a nicely trimmed one, not one that is unruly and monstrously thick/bushy. yeah, that would be nice. make you look older and maybe, even SOUND older! (you know, the voice thing again) ok, I promise to try and let it die.

hey, is anyone out there brave enough to post their thoughts about the current political environment? what about the economical world? Does anyone from our class have a solution to the 700 billion dollar question?

Are you sure you want to get me started on that? I have entirely too much to say. :)

i believe that one of the candidates in this election will return our great nation to what it once was...a vaste wasteland covered in ice.

and how did my personal shaving practices become a topic of discussion? where does the intrusion of the paparazzi end?

All I can say is that, if a particulr pair wins the election.....the diaper stocks(Pampers and Depends) are going to go up because that is what will be needed with all the babies and elders in the white house. :>

I went to the Breakfast's club website and they sound pretty good. My husband and I are going to the game on Friday night. Do you guys think the band will still be playing by the time we get there? Who all is attending the game...I know it's not "our staduim" but I would still like for our class to show up and represent some RAMBLER PRIDE!!

10/04/08 10:03 PM #38

Annette Stephens (Railey)

Hey guys! Sorry I still haven't gotten the info about buying tickets for the football game. I do plan to go to the game the night before our reunion though! Jeff and I went to the Homecoming game last friday, and it was so cool!! So many memories come flooding back, I am so excited and think it will be great to meet there the night before!! I have ran into a few others that plan to go to both as well. FYI- they had a section at the homecoming game for the class of '73! I think it's a great idea!!! I will be there Dona!!

If the weather is OK. My husband, daughter and I plan to attend. I can't wait to see everyone!!!

Kelli White (Garvin)

Well, fine! I am dragging myself into the current century. Never posted to a blog and have yet to update my profile. I wanted to come to the reunion but Curtis was never really crazy about it. I found out my great grandmother is having a 90th birthday party that day and they have asked all the grandchildren to attend. How do you tell your 90 year old grandmother no? I am Southern after all and that just is not done. It has been really great to check in with everybody. Maybe Curtis will be willing to go to the football game. Funny, I never went to a full game in high school but have to go now to see everyone. Let me know what the specifics are.
